marsa, if villain is a loose fish we can 3bet JJ. Flatting is std, but not mandatory against all villains. We should adapt our game to the situations.

To 3B Jj is a bit too lose for me.
Look at this defending range:
MP2 47.90% 46.91% 0.98% JdJh
MP3 52.10% 51.12% 0.98% TT+, AJs+, KQs, AQo+It may not be exactly the same as the above, but we do not have enough for a value 3b.
Some villains can defend way more loose than that. Against them, we have a 3bet for value.
I will end this discussion as you are not READING. We are talking about different things. You wrote that there is not that much difference between nl2 and nl5, but there is and now you talk about strategy. Yes, a solid strategy on nl2 will lead you even to nl10, but this does not change that the field on nl2 differs much more from nl5 than the field of players on nl10.
Be consistent in your thought process.

I think that by "some villains" you mean you and a bunch of your friends?
Hero did not provide info on MP, for me he is unknown and I will apply my default strategy for this case. Yes, there may be villains that will do some crazy stuff or fold to 3 bet less, BUT this does not mean we should drop everything and start 3 bettig wide... We can do this when we have a solid clue.
There are other reasons for 3-betting, even extremely wide. For example, players don't play well postflop and especially not out of position. They simply don't know what to do. However, those days I do 3-bet extremely wide (depends on mood and opponents), I 3-bet small, like 2.5x. I c-bet much more than normal, and tend to size the c-bet exactly targeting hands I want to fold out (I usually have rubbish), which means a small c-bet. The goal is to exploit peoples insecurity playing out of position in 3-bet pots. But it is a matter of personal style whether you want to play that way or another way. Both ways should be very profitable with JJ (I'd raise 22+ and suited gappers+ on those days) on the button versus MP open.
Im a :f_biggrin:, so dont take this as an advice, but as an opinion: In my (limited) experience, im yet to see a 4bet on NL2 that went to showdown and wasn't AA or KK. So i just fold JJ here preflop, but maybe its just me being overparanoid. I would flat call preflop also.
Edit: Also since OP plays on ipoker and i play on PS, the field might be a little different.

You are quite right here. I think I have seen QQ+ 4bets but not much looser, if villain is not a megafish, and I don't think there is any reason to believe this villain would be. Villain also has pretty tight 3bet range so I believe his 4bet range is even tighter.
