This time last month, this was an instacall for me but I'm learning! Should I have raised on the flop? The guy was very tight which is why I took the check-call line. What do you think?

I don`t like your limp before flop. I prefer raising them around $0,16, because they are dificult to play in limping pots and you gave blinds free flop, where they can have any 2 cards, that can beat you. So you limp and there came nice pot for you. I think you shoud re-raise here and check/fold on turn if oponent call you. Here he can have even 52 or FD or he just have 5 with some kicker. But because your hand don`t improve on turn I think you shoud fold. I think oponent show too much agresion so I prefer fold. But as I say, you shou raise before flop.

Hello Ghartman,

Preflop: 99 is way too strong to just limp here. Rather raise it up and take down the pot right here.

As played
Postflop: Doubt that I would play it much differently. But raise it preflop. ;)

Best Regards.
