Hey guys,
some more hands for you to help me with.
The first one, I raised pre-flop was 1 BB short, didn't notice the 3rd limp there. I'm more concerned about post-flop play. There was a raise and a re-raise. I thought I could make the call since I figured that he was maybe holding Jx because of the limp pre-flop. Did I play post-flop correctly, or should I have folded to re-raise? I have stats on him, but I don't know how to add them, however my sample size at the time was only around 20 hands.

For the donkbet by villian, should I keep playing in the hand, or fold here is the best option since I didn't hit.
Thank you!

Hi Deving,

First of all remove your results as it is very tempting to look at it and press the edit button to readjust my verdict which is by no means profitable for you because your getting the wrong advice ;)
Just delete them from your hand in the text editor

Hand 1:
You have a 16bb stack and you have to raise 4+3=7BB preflop with AJs. Now I would push it either preflop to maximize your value because there is a high chance someone is still interesting in playing his/her hand. If you raise normally, thats ok too but you would have to go-all-in when you hit a Jack or Ace regardless if its a monoboard or a coordinated board!

My advice: Push preflop to get your max. profit asap

Hand 2:
A cbet on the Flop is like $1.5 to make you go cheaper away.

Now as played, you got reraised all-in.
Since you have hit nothing, I would fold this one. As you are silver I will not put up calculations as its more advanced and sticking with Basic SSS is the most profitable way to start ;) If you still want them, I will give you them but I recommend mastering the Silver outs/odds articles first.

I hope it makes sense,
- Gerv

Hand 2:

Pretty marginal.

If villain is only likely to raise you with some sort of made-hand then fold as you don't quite have the price to call. If villain would raise a FD/PP/8x like this then you can call.

If I suspected villain of being over-aggressive/fishy I would also call since against bad enough players we can sometimes be a decent favourite here.

Hey Gerv,
Thanks for the great reply again, I just hit silver this morning, so I'm still gonna have to work on the silver articles now.
Nunki, I didn't really see him play that much so I'm not sure if he's a fishy or not.

Thanks, deving42

Ok congrats!
To be honest with you, I would have called because your odds are +EV with 2 overcards + 2 backdoors (wheel, broadway or flush) but before doing this you should master the Odds/Outs theory ;)
