CO: $17.80 (71.2 bb)
BTN: $29.39 (117.6 bb)
SB: $25.53 (102.1 bb)
Hero (BB): $25.70 (102.8 bb)
UTG: $13.15 (52.6 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 8 K
3 folds, BTN raises to $0.75, SB folds, Hero calls $0.50

Flop: ($1.60) 9 6 T (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $1.20, Hero raises to $3.60, BTN calls $2.40

Turn: ($8.80) 2 (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN checks

River: ($8.80) A (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $4.60, Hero folds

only 80 hands on villain but he's been opening a fair amount of his buttons. 88% cbet so far.

one problem is his preflop sizing, but i don't really know if that means i should be more likely to 3bet him preflop with K8s or to fold right away. looking at it now, im thinking fold is def not a bad plan.

on the flop i have a gutshot and BDFD so probably the best flop i can hope for aside from the nut flush. i think it's ok to checkraise as a bluff and barrel on all club turns, a 7, J or Q at least. i don't think an A would be that great because it improves his range more than mine.

once he calls and i brick the turn i don't see a reason to continue so i just give it to him. but he doesnt want it on the turn.

on the river i felt like i had a decision, but did i? should i continue giving up or stab? feel like he'll snap me off with a hand like QT or JJ...

Hi Lewis,

Preflop: I don't think we need to defend hands like this vs a virtual unknown at 25 nl.

Postflop: As played I don't mind the flop raise at all and we can continue on quite a few cards. Of course the 2 is not one of them.

If we bet the 2 we have to bet the river as well.

I would give up on the river still as I doubt he'll fold pairs given our line
