Nut flush draw, too passive?

Preflop: Hero is BB with A A
UTG raises to $0.17, 4 folds, Hero raises to $0.40, UTG calls $0.23

Flop: ($0.82) K Q 9 (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets $0.55, Hero calls $0.55

Turn: ($1.92) 6 (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets $1.46, Hero folds

I thought this was a good hand to experiment with pot control OOP. If I hit I probably won't get paid anyway and if I don't this is going to get expensive.
I'm not going broke on the flop, I think that's too loose.

Two questions really,

#1 Was I too passive on the flop?
#2 Is the fold ok given villain's play and the blank turn. or should I call down and fold river perhaps?

I would lead both flop and turn. You are giving him chance to just bluff you out or in his mind value betting with TP. If he really has something that beats you he will choose to raise flop or turn at which point you can fold. Played like this would leave me feeling sick after as I fold a strong hand while not being sure I am beat.

Realistically let's think what can beat you here:
Made flush - unlikely as you hold the Ah and due to pre-flop action
Set - Could hold 99 or QQ, KK unlikely. Again this is why it would be better to play bet fold
2 pair - Only KQ is likely due to pre-flop action. Again bet fold.

I play on GGpoker even though it says Pokerstars. None of my hand histories will have villain stats.

Hi gadget,

Your play looks really nitty both for holding an overpair and an actual NFD.

Can villain not valuebet Kx being afraid of the hearts? Or even some AQ?

So if you check/call just continue on the turn as well.

Although I would just cbet this flop with these positions. AK/AQ are each 6 combos.

Yay i found someone nittier than me! I am fairly sure you have good equity even if you put him purely on valuerange, based on what Dragan said.

And let us not forget the MILF adjustment to the ranges, against unkown players!
( micro insane leaks factor -- not those milfs, you perv!)

Quick example, yes its not the standard, but the potential is always out there, so you always have to adjust a few % against unknowns.
