new to poker so wondering if the river fold is wrong? Think I'm probs at the top of my range though. Think I have him on an over-pair; AA,KK. Thought would be welcome!

Hero (BTN): 108.5 BB
SB: 100 BB
BB: 107.5 BB
UTG: 106.5 BB
MP: 94 BB
CO: 111 BB

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has K♥ Q♠

UTG raises to 2.5 BB, MP calls 2.5 BB, fold, Hero calls 2.5 BB, fold, fold

Flop: (9 BB, 3 players) 2♦ 7♦ Q♦
UTG bets 6 BB, MP calls 6 BB, Hero calls 6 BB

Turn: (27 BB, 3 players) 2♠
UTG bets 15 BB, fold, Hero calls 15 BB

River: (57 BB, 2 players) 7♠
UTG bets 83 BB and is all-in, fold

UTG wins 55 BB

Probably something stronger than an over pair a strong flush or full house but fold or squeeze pre imo as played folding river is ok.

Horrid runout really.
Even without that, I might even fold this pre at NL2 (I'm a nit) but you're up against a UTG opening range, and an MP who thinks he can compete with a UTG opening range.

In the absence of any player knowledge, I will fold pre.
And most definitely fold flop -- too few outs.

But then, I'm a nit...

...wishing you the very best for a peaceful, prosperous 2021,
VS

I think I am with Vorpal on this one.
OTF: the initial Prelop Raiser already shown his intentions to be interested in the pot and then another player calls. Its over for me at that point. I would be happy with almost any more cards ... and there will be two more to come.
