I'd like some feedback on how I played the above hand, I'm new to PLO.

You played the hand fine, if he has 69 then just bookmark it as a setup

Yep, because, even against 69, you still have a flush draw :)

expect if villain had exactly 8:s8:d9:s6:h, but this would be the ultimate setup


I think with folding that hand preflop, you will not loose much value.

Ok on the button first to act you can raise it and use your position and initiativ to get many pots on the flop. This you can do with random 4 cards, too.

Problem with that kind of hand is, you make most times second best hands or draws and such hands have great reverse implied odds, espacially if its in a multiway pot and with deeper stacks.

As played you have to go broke for <100 BB deep.

Please don't raise pot from button, 2,5 bb or 3 bb is so much better.

What do you exactly mean ? Do you refer to preflop action or to the conti-bet ?
