Hi,
Villain has high c-bet and high turn c-bet in single raised pots. . I thought he 3bets a lot of rundonws besides good High pairs. So I thought calling is worst option. Given he does not have full stack I think risk / reward ratio is good and I decided to ship, hoping that he sometimes folds non-pair hands. His sizing was kinda big though.

Hi,

Against aces you´re not doing too well:
board: 9s4d2c
Hand Equity Wins Ties
Th7d9h6c 36.63% 1,522,410 9,489
AA** 63.37% 2,637,801 9,489

and players would usually 3-bet aces against UTG opens.

I would very likely take c/c line and pot turn on 8,7,6,5 (too bad you have no backdoor hearts) and maybe J. This looks stronger to aces and likely get more folds if c/rai on the flop.

Also I think you can consider folding this hand pre-flop, if players like to play back- once you got 3-bet I like your call

best regards,

It's a pretty loose open UTG with the gap in the middle. If you don't see an 8 on the flop there isn't anything going for it.

If villain does have a hand like aces or kings he is never folding on the driest of dry flops. 942 rainbow is a pretty much auto stack off for 99% of players. They are going to put you on exactly what you have here which is a rundown hand that hit top pair.

All you can do is check/call and try to bink the turn.
