Villain had just sat down at the table, first hand he was in, so knowing nothing about him I assumed he'd flopped the flush. Was the river donk bet a good move or would it have been better to check and hope he bet again so I could check-raise? I figured if he did have the flush he might check back after the board pairing and if I just donked pot after calling both streets it would be difficult for him to fold it.

please don't post results and rebuy to 100bbs

river donkbet is fine. villians are not capable of folding flushes here, so just go for max value. if he has a boat or quads the money is going in anyway.

nice hand

Thanks for the response. Good to know I played it OK.

Sorry, didn't know about not posting results.

Only bought in for 50BBs. Withdrew everything before Christmas and restarted with £10 (~$16) a couple of weeks ago. I'm now around $45, gonna stick to a 50 buy in BRM so I'll be buying in for $1 for at least the next few weeks unless I muster up some spare cash to redeposit. Is this sensible a sensible approach? Would I be better off just ignoring my BRM and going for the full 100BBs at these levels since the average standard of play is so poor or am I better erring on the side of caution since variance is so high?
