PLO4 JJT9s top set on 4way monotone flop

lets say one villain flops flush about 20% of the time. now in 40% of all times you should hold the best hand

lets say turn comes a 9,8,7,4,3,2 that are 24 outs you dont want to see.

so lets say we are going to bet: what size do you think is a good idea?

I always small bet when its checked round to me in this scenario.

Betting always makes sense.

Even 4 handed someone's flopped a baby flush and goes into a check call trappy mode.

Someone always calls on straight draw on monotone.

If board doesn't pair by the river....

Well I dont think any flushes are folding on flop though they probably should be in practice. Around half pot would seem ok to deny those straight draws equity and then we also make calling versus raise bit cheaper. Probably getting raised should actually be fairly rare as they should probably only do it with stronger flushes. Though they are all somewhat short stacked and they might also overplay mediocre flushes.

My main reason to not bet was to evade getting raised which versus one player is not great spot. Versus two I suppose we can stack off on flop.

Hmm anyway if I bet 0.3€ and someone pots it would be... to 1.5€ so I would have 1.2€ to call for pot of 3.6€ So 33% equity needed. Seems like its pretty thin to continue even versus biggest stack here as implied odds are fairly small.

So in the end if we cant continue versus pot and have to fold wont it be huge disaster to fold hand that has quite a bit nut potential?

We have top set but its 4way monotone flop so I think we should approach this as pure drawing hand?

By betting small. Our hand is a medium-strength (but best we can get on monotone flop) draw to the nuts.
It is not that easy to hit the nutflush even 4-way so we do have decent FE:

All of em checking is reducing the combos of nutflushes involved. Also, you probably will get a freecard because a non-nut-flush won't raise it. This way you build the pot for implied odds against weaker fulls or a stubborn nutflush. I would not bet it smaller than 2/5 pot and not bigger than 3/5 pot.

Betting little less than pot later on makes sense for psychological reasons (some are more scared by pot-sized bets but superficial in evaluating the actual bet-size) but against most players it isnt a big deal I'd say.
