Another "do I 3bet" thread...
UTG is 13/10 3.7k hands, 7% PFR from EP, other guy is 14/9 69 hands. If I do 3bet, am I calling a push?
Thats a tough spot. I think calling is fine, because I dont mind playing a three way pot OOP with QQ. Its no problem playing postflop as you are just going to c/r with an overpair.
The 3-bet is problematic against the tight opponent because I think he is often going to call you and playing the flop OOP with initiative might be even tougher if an overcard hits.
Furthermore getting shoved at would suck, because I dont think you can call a shove from a tight player like him, except of course you know that he would shove AK/JJ there.
3.7k hands ay, nice sample size.
Against a smaller sample im definitely 3bet/calling pre-flop every time against both.
But 3.4k hands is pretty reliable so you can basically be 99% certain his range is something like TT+ AK+ with those EP stats. which makes QQ a pretty horrible 3bet. he folds all lower pairs that will stack on low flops, and you isolate yourself against QQ+ only.
so its a unique spot, but i like a flat and evaluate the flop. judge his actions, think what he would do with his big hands, and think about how to extract max value from the other guy as well.
Pretty much stacking off on every low board to get value from TT/JJ in his range.
