PokerStars - $0.23+$0.02|75/150 NL - Holdem - 7 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

UTG: 27.63 BB
UTG+1: 10.27 BB
MP: 25.91 BB
CO: 56.2 BB
BTN: 4.98 BB
Hero (SB): 38.53 BB
BB: 27.87 BB

Hero posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has T♠ T♣

fold, fold, fold, CO raises to 4 BB, fold, Hero calls 3.5 BB, fold

Flop: (9 BB, 2 players) 6♦ 6♣ 9♥
Hero bets 5 BB, fold

Hero shows T♠ T♣ (Two Pair, Tens and Sixes)
Hero wins 9 BB

I found this call preflop pretty tricky, but i figured it looked like a steal / wider range. Did i play that ok?

Any reason you just call pre rather than 3bet?

I prefer 3bet personally, keep BB out and see if CO is stealing.

I would also probably 5bet shove / call shove if CO 4bets

I think I just called to try and avoid a re-raise or all in from co but i probably should have 3bet, this is something i need to work as i don't 3 bet / 4bet often enough i don't think. Although if he stats were very tight and he didn't raise much that could be a factor in why i didn't 3bet.

I f CO is stealing 3betting TT will turn it into a bluff/bluffcatcher rather than calling and letting him bluff at it again on the flop. Even more when you are 5betiing/calling 4bet shove you are turning it into a bluffcather where its most likely to be a flip which we dont want with +30 bb's left.

I really think the flop is though tough, if we donk bet he is folding most worse hands, by check-calling we are allowing him to catch the turn so I might prefer check-raising on this board.

Hey Adam!

I get your reason for not 3betting (I come to that later)
What do you donk?
Villain needs to fold all of his airrange and nonhits! You just get value from really strong overcards and pairs... All other hands probably folding!

Easy ch/c or ch/r because then you get value of his cbet!

If the player is not the greatest nit and if you have betting-tell (4x) than just 3bet pre 4 value to 10-11bs. Then you can b/c boards like that (small like 1/3 pot)

Greets,
