u should Cbet flop here like 3800 and see what happens this way u give it up.
u can take this pot right there if he folds, if he reraise u fold, if he call u can check turn (depending what card will came) and evaluate on river
that 7 look's like good card to me for u, the posibility that he got 7 are droping
i dont like ur call on turn neither (you were hoping to hit flush on river) what were u thinking that he'll check river and let u take that pot

if he is a lag, and you check it back he will fire once or maybe twice with air because you showed weakness.
so i would just cbet and fold to a raise here.
true he MIGHT bluff you out, but if you check he will bluff you out for sure if you dont hit, so against pasive players i checkback against agressive players im never checking here.
as played i would raise the turn ! he wont shove you unless he has a monster because now your play looks like a big pair.
you check the flop because you know he will bet if you check, so you check.
now the turn comes and you fire at him because you have KK or AA and want some money !.
if he calls you you checkbehind the river if you dont improve and bet/raise if you improve.
i would raise the turn here if you check the flop.
you have plenty of outs to improve , he might fold and if he shoves you have an easy fold.
