you dont say what the buy-ins are

chance are that MP2 got Ax and you are either 50% against AK or 70% against any other A

in a sng you can fold it as you will have chances to get chips back but MTT is different and you need to build big chip stack , if he got As or Ks then he wont push as he will need to build pot , lower buy-ins then it can be lotto with players pushing with a very wide range

the big differance with MTT to SSS is that you need to be able to play down the streets , spoting weakness & players playing soft which you can steal from and with the big money being in the top three players being a very good SNG player will pay dividens knowing how to win the final table

Thanks. The buy-in was in Fulltilt points, thus yeah, players were probably much looser. I'm joining these tournaments now just for practice, and in order to attempt an entry at larger money tournaments.

So, in a proper MTT (where I don't expect players to be extremely loose) I could shove it in this situation right? since I shouldn't expect him to have an As Ks?

so limp/call or coldcall a small raise is much better.

be aware that your stack and the stack of your opponent is about 15-20 times the raise so your implied odds compensate your losses.

Because they are so vulnerable to an A or K on the flop, you have to raise pre f to drive out hands like A5 or K9.

I would push that in a freeroll, so many fish pushing Ax because they didnt buy in with real money. You need a bit of luck early to stay in the running while all the fish fight it out. That and QQ is pretty decent.

Queens is an easy push in my opinion since your opponents are eager to push 99+ and AJ+
