here i made a super nit fold pre w JJ, my reasoning for this is utg looks strong and when mp 3-bets x4 of the initial raiser it seems like he wants to get it in pre-flop with 49bb I just want to sit back and just protect my 49bb and skip this very unquestionable spot

is this ok or this is a case of overfolding

IMO you have a decent stack, and it would seem a shame to squander it on what is likely a flip at the best.
I watched a final table of a recent WCOOP major, and the thing that impressed me most was the ability of some players to make folds like this.

I'm a bit of a nit (or so I think) and I would only call -- and possibly jam -- if I had some information on the player.
Otherwise -- good fold.

I have moved your hand to our tournament hand discussion forum. There fits it better.
It's interesting to know what the paid out structure was in this tournament. Could influence your decision as well. If you shove you need to beware if villain is familiar with ICM. Is a interesting spot to put ICM pressure on villain.
