even 3d3x has 11 outs, so there is no reason to build a huge pot w/o a :diamond:.

on a blank turn things start to look brighter. so you should be bluffcatching then (and paying off some flushes. :f_biggrin:)

A Cbet is just fine for thin value and protection. If you check a lot of turn cards could hurt your hand.

you can not protect vs a FD and having 50% equity vs the continuing range will not get you any value either. all you do is blow up the pot and create scenarios, where it will be taken away from you.

Yeah, I pretty much don't like any turn card, so if he doesn't fold, I pretty much must give up.

Could just jam flop.

But default line is to bet & jam any non diamond turn.

Pokamon is right, but wrong at the same time too. He is looking at 2 cards equity, while on the turn our jam will make a hand like 33d fold, thus making the flop call a mistake by villain versus halfpot bet.

This is by the way a very good flop to play aggressively even without diamonds (eg A2s, A5s, AKo).

If we get raised, get the money in! What are you even thinking about? It´s SPR 2 on the flop You're way too nitty! Even if our opponent is a solid regular, its very close, vs a random, easy stack off.

100% agree with this. If you don't bet you are in a twilight zone and he can blow you away. Bet and get in flop is much better, you still have a strong equity, he could have Adx or undepairs with a diamond. You might lose a big pot, but this is poker, you need chips to continue. And with 3bet pre you just can't give up here with SPR 2 on this flop. It will be to exploitative, it is like limp fold with 6BB or even worse open fold with 6BB. If he calls and we see a diamond, well then we have to fold. I know how it feels like having 40BB and then losing with 1 hand, but then you don't 3bet pre, now you have no choice.
