I'm not sure that is truly a bluff in the sense of "getting worse to fold" — although on that board any overpairs likely would fold.
It seems to me that in this case, it is more the fact that to call, your opponent would be eliminated.
From time to time, and especially approaching the bubble, this is a worthwhile move. It totally sucks when they have what you're representing.
It would be helpful to have stats on the player, and it would helpful to know how close to the bubble you are.
