Its an ale that is very popular in London, its on a similar line to Newcastle Brown Ale.

This is a cheeky bump as Bulgarians seem to post a lot more than us.
Any of you planning to do any live tourneys this winter/next year? Anyone qualified or bought into the GCBPT or GUKPT before?
I'm still doing the odd Freeroll qualifier for GUKPT on Blue Square. The inital (free) round is an absolute lottery, super turbo, but have got through to the 2nd round and online final a couple of times. Maybe one day will win a seat to the live event.
p.s. Added a Signature for Stiev, hope he approves, lol I should be on the payroll.... oh of course, I am.... $50 rofl ♦

george here from newcastle
been playing poker for a couple of years now, not constantly though, very very occasionally, i found this website in such random fashion it was really weird. after that, i have spent hours playing with the free money, i havent increased it at all but i think i am learning in a whole new way, i am still at the same amount as i were but i think i am improving.
although i may be lacking in discipline with strictly following the strategy, this may be my biggest weakness, it seems that it is pretty easy to steal pots in low stake games as everyone is playing tight, as long as you have something to bluff with, it is a fine balance which i OBVIOUSLY still have to master.
love the site, love the articles, i am getting really hooked now lol.

Sounds like your doing well already, but do strongly recommend that you read all the strategy guides, watch coaching sessions etc. You really do learn lots and your game does improve.

Thanks for the bump ♦. I dont play any live tournaments at the moment but it is definately something i am looking forward to progressing with in the future. I would love to qualify for the WSOP packages via the satalites but i might start off with smaller mountains first and try for the GCBPT or the GUKPT first

Welcome on board matey boy. Im glad you've finally find PS as they will really help with improving your game and taking you to the next level. But like Bart said it really is beneficial to stick to the articles and bankroll management as much as possible and also keep reading/re-reading all the available ones you can, not just the strategy ones but the psychological ones as well, watch all available videos for your chosen strategy and attend the weekly coachings as they will really help improve your understanding of the game. And most of all, just enjoy yourself and have fun.

@Steve/everyone. Blue Sq are worth considering if anyone is interested in Quali to GUKPT. 3x Free Turbo MTT tourneys per day (Fish Fest though, absolute lottery). Feeders at $3 & $11 rebuy. Online finals not sure buy in, only ever qualified the hard way through free & feeder seats.
p.s. 14th in a $10k freeroll tonight = +$170, big big boost to my BR, Get In! ♦

to be honest i lost a lot of money due to non appreciation to the strategy
then
with pretty much some more brains in my head but still not much love for the lectures i made it all back (started with 50, went down to 11, now on 80 just from this weekend)
now that i have found myself breaking even with the free initial capital, i have decided to step back, read all the articles again, watch a lot of poker and work on learning and really paying attention and i think i will be hitting the tables again tomorrow but only to keep up with my ftp points.
that being said, i think with silver now open there is a shit load of things to thoroughly go through
oh and i still have to work on that discipline, i am now forcing myself to throw winning hands away so that although painful for my BR, it builds character. not AA, but a flop with 569 and 9k.. i will fold that at a raise. it's good training!!
especially since i could not fold pairs before.

Big big congrats on the $'s in the freeroll. Thats a great result for ya matey. Before i start on the tournament phase of my career i need to read up on some strategy guides etc as i havent got a scooby doo at the moment ♦

As you have now learned sticking to the details will really improve your game and yourself as a poker player. As for laying down hands when you know you're beaten but continuing to stay in the pot, i had the same problem and it affected my bankroll but i've managed to work on that part of my game and its made me a better player.
Also when reading all the new articles available to you now dont try to include too many new skills to your game at once. Just try one or two at most till you've got them working to a tee then you can start to introduce more one at a time.
