Welcome to pokerstrategy.com. If you're new to the game you should check out the beginner's course. Definitely a great place to start and a great thing about our site is that we can give you some starting capital so you don't need to spend any of your own money to get started.

Because I remember when I first started to play poker, and all the rookie mistakes I made, I recommend that you concentrate on playing freerolls to begin with. At least for the first few weeks. While studying the various strategy articles recommended by Pokerstrategy before playing for real money. Then when you have some experience and knowledge you can then start to play for real money but only starting at the smallest stakes possible.
It may not sound exciting to say this, but it is best to start slowly but surely. A bit like the 'Tortoise and the Hare' fable.
