Hi folks,

Long time poker player here. I used to play for a living (for a short period of time) back in the online poker boom days (early 2000s) before the port security bill killed all the action (certainly dating myself with this one!). Anyways, back then I did use poker tracker a bit but never had the benefit of a coach or a group of like minded people to discuss poker strategy with. Life continued and I moved into the real world working a 9-5 job, got married, had an awesome kid, etc. Poker was a love of mine but has been on the back burner until recently.

Over the summer I started going to my local casino to play, did fairly well but when the Delta surge kicked up I backed off the live play and looked to get going online. I've been playing 50NL on Ignition and it's been going fairly well, albeit slow, as I usually only have time for about an hour at a time. I have about 14k hands logged and some trends are starting to surface that someday I'd like help interpreting. Hoping to learn from this brain trust & contribute/give back as much as I can.

Time is the biggest factor for me, so if anyone has tips on how I can be most impactful from a contribution perspective I'd love to hear it. I also can't figure out how to post photos, anyone able to help with that? :f_biggrin:

Looking forward to hanging out with all of you and am excited to get back to the game I love.

Cheers,
JimmyD

Hi jimmyd1717,
Welcome to PokerStrategy.com :welcome:

Glad to have you on board!

Contributing...
Check out our hand discussion boards -- we have discussions for sit-and-gos, MTTs and cash games in the Hold'em world.
We also have one for PLO and (ahem) just one for all the other poker variants.

What games do you play?

Photos, Links etc...
When you first join PokerStrategy.com you're a "basic" member. See the points system details here: https://www.pokerstrategy.com/status-points/
Basic members cannot post links or photos -- this is spam protection.
If you have a photos or a links you want to post, post them without the " http://" part, and a friendly mod will convert them (a reasonable number of course)

You become bronze when you first sign up to an affiliated site using one of our links If you go to that page, and if there are rooms showing, they are allowed in your area.
You can also buy a higher status.
You essentially buy the points until the end of the following month, and that gives you access to all of the material for that level. When you're done, you're bronze and stay at least there for life.

Bronze members can do just about anything in the forum...

Cheers,
VS
