Clearly you're projecting sadness and depression, why you get some attached to this or that or whatever happened ?

It is (whatever was) just happened, you just keep living, be part of this life story.
Getting involved in these feelings in such way is not helpful for anything/anyone.

Try ask yourself what truly happened ? and dont say I went broke, I ruined all I've learnt or whatever . . cuz this already happened, doesn't matter.

ask what truly happened ? u went broke, so ? what's there ? what is broke ? is it truly stopping you from doing something u want ? (saying I want play NL2k now isn't the answer )

Just free yourself and keep moving wherever it is you feel like moving to ..

Sometimes i think i suck at poker so hard, but i believe that hard work beats talent and variance :)

maybe you want to ask yourself this questions

How can this help me?
What did i learn from this experiance?
What will happend if i let this beat me and if i worry all the time?
What can i do to ensure this wont happen again?
How can i enjoy this situation and maybe laugh about it ?

It helps me you should try it

Two years ago I used to have what was officially called "clinical depression". I took medicine and attended a psychiatrist, somehow I managed to overcome my condition, and only a small part of that success I attribute to the help that the psychiatrist and my psychotherapist gave me. I did the impossible largely thanks to random people in my life that appeared and helped me, probably not even knowing that they were changing my life so much. I have been through quite some tough times in my life and I am still struggling with the aftermath of my past condition but I am recovering and becoming happier every single day.

The reason I tell you this, martiangoblin, is because I deeply sympathize with you, and I honestly believe that I understand you. I can feel how you feel. Doctors can help you but for most people, I believe, it is too hard to overcome themselves and admit that they need such help. And even then it is not exactly the kind of help that is going to change your life completely. What you need now is someone to talk to, and I am confident that I this someone can be me. If you are willing to believe me, then just PM me here on PS and we'll take it from there.

PS. You should be talking less to people that do not understand you.

Wishing you the best
I

Well obv he needs to change his life to cure the depression (been there done that etc) but if he's rly depressed and doesn't have people around him to support that it's pretty good to go see a doctor. Get some antidepressants to suppress the depression symptoms and start changing life on his own imo.

Ofc antidepressants won't cure the cause, but it'll help to deal with it which might seem too hard for him now on his own.

I agree that it is necessary, but from my experience the psychiatrist did not really motivate and guide towards recovery. He just gave me some pills and asked me to come regularly for check-ups, sometimes prescribed a different set of pills because of some bad side-effects from the previous ones etc.. It is fine and necessary but for a real change to take place there is a lot more that has to be done. By all means, I too advise to seek professional help, but I also understand that it is easy to be cynical about its efficiency. Hence why I suggest an alternative start to recovery that may or may not lead to professional help and drug use.

I have to disagree. Antidepressants come with side effects and I know personally several cases of suicide after they stopped using the drugs.

IMO The best cure for depression is exercise, coupled with good nutrition. What is your diet like? - do you have veggies, fruits, legumes, nuts, seeds and water in abundance? or is it lots of bread and pasta and fast food?

Please please try this before any advice from doctors pushing pills that mess with your brain chemistry in not altogether understood ways.

If you need someone to talk to I'm also available on skype, or via the community. people do care.

Sure I agree that antidepressants isn't a cure, but if depression is deep the person won't find power within to make the changes necessary. But yeah, talking with people should help at least a bit to make a push forward.

And yea, the side effects and withdrawal is pretty damn hard.

Hi guys,

We have now created a new section called "Learning to win". As this thread fits there perfectly, we have moved this to our new board. We really hope you enjoy this new part of our site

To op yeap I suck at it too will be busting a small bankroll I built up of a freeroll on minted and will then be not going back to it, however I think its unfair that you criticise the site and coaches. Coaching is not about teaching people to play badly so they can re-deposit and neither are the tips on this site.

The majority of players won't use things like this site at all and they need no encouragement to be bad players whereas for those who do want to learn sites like pokerstrategy rather earn their crust by creating good players who contribute via rake articles and word of mouth promotion.

I have read articles on here but I know by my own admission that I don't follow the things I have read properly or don't bother to re-go over them etc I also know that I make an awful lot of bad plays in spots where I know better than to go broke but I think that my personality just isn't suited to the game and hence because it takes a lot of hours to play and there is little to no return for a bad player I will be quitting too. However I don't see that as a bad thing, I tried something it didn't work out on to the next thing.

snap out of it.

what is everything ?
what is something ? ( like "I wanna be something !")
what is nothing ?

what are those words ? variable concepts that change according to society - it is nothing but an illusion since it is not true.

just because you've been told so, does not mean it is true for you.

but because you've been taught to think the way you think, you feel failure, disappointment, hopelessness because you haven't achieved this "SOMETHING!"

You are nothing. You are everything. No matter, you just are.
Realize this, set your self free . . .

Now you're getting annoying. Either you're a huge troll or you're whining about your life in the wrong place. If you're being serious, you should see a shrink

Some time ago I suggested you add me as a friend.
Yet you have not done so.

Give it a shot -- things can't get any worse.
