This is in regard to a clip ive watched on [link to competitor site removed] . its the first clip of their "our courses" tab which is about their No-Limit Hold’em Tournament Course. Its about a supposedly wrong call Greenstein would have made. They then talk about the stacks involved which i didnt understand.
Well, i dont know much about implied pot odds (or at least forgot about it) since i hvent been playing in ages.
My reasoning would be:
[*] due to the action in front of him, Molson is probably gonna fold = no implied pot odds here :
[*] so 2500/10500 = 0.238 ~ %24 equity while Greenstein might calculate with gettin a K or a diamond on the turn = 11 outs ~ % 22 which wouldnt be enough
BUT
Hes probably expacting another bet from Heidorn on the turn if a diamond comes up ( prob not vs a king) since itd b unlikely Greenstein had made his flush:
[*] so hed call 2500 into a ~ 13500 pot (+5500 from Heidorn bet on Turn) , 2500/16000 = 0,156 ~ 16 %
[*] so Greenstein has at least 18 % equity ( 9 clubs on turn ~ 18%) vs the needed 16 %
Is this reasoning reasonable or are there any flaws due to the lack of understanding this mechanic? What articles (free) regarding advanced sng strategies can u recommend? thx a lot
