Hello I want to know if I have calculated this right.

(in 20BB Games) Everybody have only 20BB stacks.

Lets say im in the BTN.

I openraise 2BB and the BB Push 20BB.

The Pot is 1,5bb + 2BB (my raise) + 19BB (Big Blind Push)

Pot = 22,5BB
I have to call 18BB to win 22,5+18 = 40,5BB

18/40,5 = 0,44444

Does this mean I need 44,44% Equity to call this Shove?

Thanks in advance

Hi, blackkiwi,
Pot odds as 76542OFF = Pot/required bet.

in your case, 22.5/18 = 1.25:1

The calculation for break-even equity is:
Bet/(Pot+Bet)

18/40.5 = 44%
So yes, you got that part right.

Once you decide to throw in the 18 BB then yes, it is in the pot.

You can calculate this directly from the pot odds, too:
The formula is 1/(1+p) where p is the pot odds.

In this case 1/(1+1.25) = 1/2.25 = 44.4%

Best of luck,

hmmm.. GUYS!?

Minus RAKE!

So it is more like 18/38.5 (5% rake) = 46.76%
or 18/36.5 = 49.3% with (8% rake)

That little monster makes a big difference.
