I am reading up on the basic strategy articles and will probably ask a lot of "stupid" questions in the near future. :f_confused:

1. In the Starting Hand Chart AT-AK are treated equally, suted or not. Is that correct?

2. If that is the case - Can you explain the logic in middle position play v.s one previous caller?
Call with KQs, KJs, KTs, QJs, QTs and JTs but fold with AQs, AJs and ATs

It obviously is about avoiding tricky situations. Stay out of trouble is everything when learning a new game. Surely we'll play the hands differently later in our poker career, I'm aware of that.
I'm merely interested in understanding the logic and reason behind the chart and what potential trouble we're trying to eliminate here.

Might be true in very beginner strategy but in more advanced it is not true. Also depends a lot about positions. For example MPvUTG I open tighter than COvMP. If you want a bit more advanced ranges, you can check w34z3l's ranges from here.

2.
I didn't get what you mean. Do you mean when there is an open raise + 1 caller? In that case AQs,AJs,ATs might not be a call but a squeeze. What is the source of this?

That chart is meant for complete beginners and it is also several years old. I think w34z3l's ranges are pretty good but if you think those are still a bit complex, I'm trying to find you something easier but better than the chart you initially found.
