I don't think anyone can tell you, it depends on how much you're used to FR and how fast you are willing to adapt and all.
Anyway just go, SH is cool, FR is more and more dead as time goes by and stakes move up, and you'll see SH tables won't bite you. Variance will, of course, but that's poker. ;)

If you check the https://forums.pokerstrategy.com/forum/thread.php?threadid=420360 thread it will go faster most likely to improve your shorthanded game.

I've been trying to play FR for a while and, as said/wrote before, apart from Stars and 888 there isn't much action anywhere.
I think I've read somewhere that even Party Poker has recently shut down their FR tables...

I think it's a endless debate, it's like to ask wich color or music or food or to ask if Micro$oft or Linux is the best.
IMO it depends simply on your own tastes & goals. What is your overall goal ? Where do you feel the most comfortable to play in ? Do you tilt with huge variance ?
Wich stakes do you plan to play ? What's your BR ? etc.................
Once you answer to those questions you will find your own answers.

Best of Skills & Luck @ Tables,

On Stars you still can play a y lot of FR tables and you will find more recreational players

I'd say there are other sites with a better reg:fish ratio than Stars, even for FR.

I think 9 players is too many, although the boredom factor can be offset by multi-tabling. I also think 6 players is too few, more so when a player or two is sitting out. I'd prefer if all tables were 7 handed. Maybe even 8. But ideally, I think 7 players has the right feel to it. Not too many players to plough through, and also not too short when players are camped out.

until like three months ago i played 6-max for as long as i can remember, because its more loose and more action and i get bored to easy. now im old and boring and play fullring a bit tighter and that was a good move for my bankroll

i think 6 max is great for improving a more polarizing range, training yourself to call off lighter other than camping with nuts > with 9 handed etc.
After a while it becomes a grind and most players can just do ABC, but in 6 max is where things start to funk up and change.
It's where more hero calls etc are out there.

Hi guillermoiri
You are quite welcome to post in the English forum, but please post in English.
If necessary, you can translate to English using Google Translate before posting.

If you prefer, there is also the Spanish forum

Thanks!

I've played both and I'll over simplify my thoughts. My main bit of advise is try both.

I read that 6-max is a good option if you want play more hands, and in short time, but the strategies change for this new alternative you need to practice and learn the strategies for this type.
Good luck.
