Hey guys i am an mtt player transitionning to cash game and i am wondering if we should turn off auto rebuy when taking a shot example you want to shot nl 100 with 3000$ and decide to allow yourself 2buy ins shot do you literally open 2 tables with 2 buy ins and turn off auto rebuy to be sure to not spend more or do you keep auto rebuy and check with your eye if you lost more than 2 buy ins ? Cause i thought of situations where if you let auto rebuy and check manually imagine you spent your 2 buy ins and you see a hand that you have to play for example KJo at the CO you may think well thats+ev even if i spent my 2 buy ins i must open this hand and if you dont then what do you do with KQs or with 77 etc hence why i am wondering if attributing strictly the number of buy ins and not more is a better strategy for taking shots but the problem is that you will maybe falk to like 40bb and have to play a different strategy, please let me know what you think about this and how you handle your shots, thank you in advance:)

Interesting question.
From my perspective, the auto-rebuy serves several purposes:
Image. It appears that you know what you're doing, and aren't intimidated by the amounts involved. On the other hand, you can paint a picture of incompetence by buying in with an uneven amount between 70 and 80 BB
Potential pots. If you start with 70 BB, you lack the ability to make 100 BB in a single hand.
Ease of play. You don't have to constantly top up manually. On the other hand, it is essential that you keep track of how much you're losing (if you are indeed losing) so that you don't exceed your stop-loss. And you do have a stop-loss, don't you?
My standard game is NL 25 (when I play hold'em), but I do NL 50 and even NL 100 from time to time. I do play quite tight at those limits, but I always leave the table if there is a very loose player at the table — or several loose players. I also try to avoid tables with one or more players with stacks > 200 BB. In either of those cases, to defend against them you need a narrower range.

technically you should have 50-100 buyins, so auto topup is pretty standard and highly recommended
It depends. As always in any poker related question. 
Bankroll is a tool for risk management, both monetary and mental. No one can tell you, what is the best approach for YOU. But I would say that if you need to even think about it, then it's better to be safe than sorry. If you think about using it, but decide not to, and lose more than your allocated shot money, how would you feel? If you would feel a lot of negative emotions, then it's probably worth not to top-up. If you have a healthy bankroll, then use the top-up. It does affect EV quite a lot, so to make monetary -EV decisions they should be justified with larger +EV mental decisions.
