I've recently been putting in some effort into getting good at PLO, so I've bought a subscription to pokerjuice, which I've been fooling around with a bit. I've been looking at the EV of calling a 4B pre given that we know villains 4bets only AA(which is a reasonable assumption for some villains) and pots every flop/turn. The module Peel&stack-off has been very useful for this, but I've thought of some potential issues that I think need to be considered in these situations.
1. I assume rake is not taken into account for these EV calculations. Am I correct in assuming that we can adjust for this as follows?
Cost of rake=Rake paid when we win*(1-rakeback percentage)*% of times we win
with % of times we win being equal to the percentage of times we stackoff*average equity when we stackoff.
At PLO25 on pokerstars, the cost of rake would be roughly 1.5bbs using this formula.
2. Given my assumptions in this scenario, villain can't make a mistake(he simply pots every single time, easy). I however must play perfectly. Is this a big problem or almost irrelevant? Obviously when I know that villain always has AAxx I'm not going to be making many mistakes, but it seems to me that this factor can make a break-even call into a losing one.
I used to call 4Bets with almost all of my 3B range in this scenario, but with the rake being as high as it is in PLO it seems that I should actually be folding a reasonable part of my range against players that only 4B AA at 100BB effective. Please let me know if I am on the right track here.
