What specific program are you using?
I can hazard a guess at an answer to your question:
In a 10-handed game the positions are:
UTG; UTG1, UTG2,MP1,MP2,MP3,CO,BU,SB,BB
If your equity trainer is configured to show only a 6-handed game, you will only see
MP+2, ... , BB
As you point out, in short-handed play the position that was MP2 in a 10-handed game is now UTG. You sometimes see MP3 called the HiJack position as well
Equilab follows the above pattern
Only 5 open-raising positions would be shown, because BB already has money in the pot.
MP+2 up to SB can call or open-raise.
Yes, BB can raise, but then that is raising over limpers, not raising into an unopened pot.
If I am off base with my guess let me know...
Cheers,
VS
Thank you. I understand now.
