Enjoy

But here it will be accessible only for a few days.

Better move this video into the pokerstrategy library.

Hello. 6max hyper turbo sit and go pokerstars, 5 players, 10 big blinds I am on the button - which option from icmizer is better to calculate this spot - `Calculate` or `Nash`?

And one more: 6max, 3 players left, 2 places paid, I am on the button, i have 5 big blinds, next hand the blinds hit me. Does your program calculate that my position will decrease next hand?

Hey Radoom.

Note that ICMIZER key purpose is to find hero range, and for that you use Calculate button

Quality of your range will depend on quality of your range assignment, that is how precisely your range estimations for your opponents will match their actual strategy.

You use Calculate Nash button to assist yourself in this assignment.

Usual action sequence in ICMIZER goes like this Nash -> manual range edits -> Calculate

We have prepared a new article which covers complex topic of Nash equilibrium calculations:

Hope you will find it interesting!

Hi!
Sorry one more question about ICMIZER: does it have the same kind of quick-analyze-feature as holdem resources calculator where you can just upload a tournament and the calculator points out the hands that were played wrong? Because if it does, you've got a new customer :)

No, currently this exact feature isn't available.
You can load entire tournament or session and analyze them all, but ICMIZER doesn't judge hands as played "right" or "wrong".

The hard part of analyzing a hand is putting opponents on ranges. Different players use different ranges, so a program cannot possibly guess how your opponents played in your hands.

I suggest to check out the trial version of ICMIZER, which you can use for free 3 times per day to see what it can and cannot do.

Right now it can do certain things no other programs can do, and vice versa.

New update is ready and I would appreciate if it gets a little tested before I release it to public.

It had quite a few internal changes so I am afraid there could be some new bugs.

Its v1.5.2 and its available here http://www.pokericmcalculator.com/icmizerbeta/

Added
• Typical MTT payouts: PokerStars Sunday Warmup, Sunday Storm, Sunday Million
Note that since ICMIZER doesn't support more than 60 players in MTT, those payouts do not display more than 60 payouts; other payouts cannot affect calculation results in any way
• Hands in multiple hands loader are now numbered
• Current MinDiff value is not lost when you parse hands

Is it possible to calculate optimal shoving ranges vs LIMPS in HUSNG? I tried to play with the free ICMIZER and I couldn't figure it out.

Situation:

Lets say the eff. stacksize = 12BB (and we are BB)

Villain limps 36% of his range at this spot with 9% of the cards being premiums (77+, ATo+, A9s+)

How do we calculate a good shoving range vs such villains?

Also how do we calculate the expected value from raise/folding (like raising to 2.5-3bb)

Hey ragney.

Yes its possible to calculate shoving range vs limper.

Please refer to this article:
http://www.pokericmcalculator.com/en-us/articles/which-hands-to-push-against-sb-limp-from-bb-heads-up/

And video:
http://www.pokericmcalculator.com/en-us/video/push-vs-limper-from-bb/

It is not possible to compare raise/fold option for hero, cause ICMIZER compares only push or fold option in general. So said in other words, against limper you can either shove or check, from ICMIZER perspective, it doesn't consider raises etc.

If however you are in a spot where opponent limped, you raised, and now he pushed - this spot can also be analyzed, since we have to either push or fold now.

Thanks I understand it now :)

Just an idea how the pricing of ICMIZER. Maybe an idea to add a "pay as you go" plan to the pricing just like sharkschope. Example:
$10 for extra 500 "calculation" (daily cap = 3)
$15 per month
$30 per 3 months
etc

Sharkscope has 5 searches each day and there is an option for the non-heavy users to buy extra 200 searches (that last untill all are used) instead of buying a monthly subscription. Just an idea :)

Thanks for sharing ideas.

I've considered various options.

Right now you are either on free 3 hands per day trial, or on unlimited calculation limits, if you have a paid subscription. Its already more complex than I wish it was =)

I have prepared a new article. Its quite advanced so I think it will be mostly interesting for expert SNG players with good understanding of ICM.

Analysis of difficult push fold SNG tournament spots

Hello another question.

Look at this example: http://www.pokericmcalculator.com/icmizer/#DgsD

What I understand is that shoving K3s wields a +1.27% positive expectation/profit.

My question is what does this +1.27% means?

Is our expected profit 1.27 big blinds every time we shove (assuming that villain won't adjust and call lighter vs us)? So our "net" profit is 0.77bb since we put 0.50bb due position.

Hey.

When analyzing HU spots its recommended to perform calculations in Chip EV.

%of prize pool is not really best way to look at HU spots

In Chip EV mode you can also select Chip BB EV, in that case results will be shown in big blinds.

Here is your spot in chip EV:

Look below grid, EV fold is 405 chips, EV push is 417.7 chips.

The difference gives us idea that push is more profitable, and that we gain 12.7 Chips, compared to fold decision.

This is the only thing holding me back from getting a subscription as well. I prefer the UI and functionality of ICMizer over the competition by far, but this one missing feature has me still using HRC (and previously SnGWIz)...

I understand your answer to ozzy, but at least it helped to point out possible review hands quickly where you could do further analysis... having to step through and hit calculate each hand takes way too much time.

Do you have any plans of adding this feature in and if so can you provide a rough time estimate?

I have plans, but I am pretty bad with estimates since I try to do everything to the best possible quality, and it usually takes much longer than anticipated.

It will be done after FGS and Quiz, things which I am working on right now.
