I would like to be able to take notes in HM2 without my tables stealing the focus all the time and prevent me from writing down effectively.
How can I do this globally as I am playing on many sites?

What rooms?
Some rooms have an option that you can set / clear that gives the focus to the table requiring action.
It might also be possible to write an autohotkey script that forcibly returns focus to your notes window whenever it is open.
I think best place to start though is in the table settings for your rooms.
For example, in iPoker, you go to Settings | Multi Tables | uncheck "Take focus from applications"
Which rooms do you play at once?
