IMO as played fold river

also, bet more pre, bet more flop, bet less turn IMO.

i think giving up on turn wouldn't be too bad, he can't float such a flop w/ air

of course he can. JJx is most people's favorite board for a bluff

except this is not the usual JJx flop it is JJc9c which is nothing like JJ2 rainbow
he has to have a draw at the minimum

besides, he is floating OOP, so even more likely he has a decent holding

plus hadn't noticed that before, but xylere raised 6x, which is kind of a big raise to call

What did you mean by saying "giving up on turn wouldn't be too bad"

how can I give up on turn, after betting 2 streets, when the scare card comes, thus giving me fold equity + outs

well I am saying a fd is a big part of his range and he is never folding a J on the turn, so I doubt the 3c is really a scare card

he called you on such a flop so I really doubt he has nothing so here the second barrel is questionable I think. I like to two barrel a wet board when I have at least 4 outs(ie at least a gutshot) and here you clearly have at most 3 outs if not already drawing dead

maybe if you wanna rep the flush you should check behind the turn and shove the river, but even then he maybe won't fold a J plus he has a flush very often here given his line

Not sure if I understood this, but if he has the FD on the flop (i.e. flush on turn), why would he check/call a flush on a paired board? doesn't make sence... and if he had a 1-card flushdraw, do you really think he'd call the flop with only a backdoor FD?

and:

no. that's not how a flush should be played, so you're not really representing anything

as for the fd is a big part of his range, it was obviously on the flop, meaning he would have hit on turn, and well, why not check it ? I actually think it makes a lot of sense on a paired board but moreso in a blind battle. If he bets he is just folding worse hands and keeping in better flushes or full houses. Someone holding a J would call a turn bet but probably not a river bet as a flush then becomes so obvious. So I think he maximizes his value by check/calling turn and betting/calling river depending on how high his flush is.
what do you think ?

I agree that shoving the river is a bad idea, idk why I said that, though it would definitely be a tough decision for someone holding trips J here wouldn't it ?

I don't see much value in betting the turn again: a FD is a big part of his range and I also think the card typically doesn't help you, so you'll get a lot of calls.
