A little March review. I'm very happy I tried out 30max and I gonna play them next couple of month solely. Other than that I was still loosing money on 5max.. I believe I could be BE player there and take RB but maybe later, they pissed me off for now.

Some stats & graphs

Overall

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

30max alone

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Stats

I've had over 20% ROI in 30max, avg BI $4. Not really sustainable I guess but I can do over 10% hopefully. Also I wanna have atleast 4k games there cause now it's just a variance fest... 50% ROI at $3s, 0% ROI at $5s.

Anyway, overall March:

Games: 1191
AVG BI: $5
Hours: 71h
ROI%: 10%
Winnings: $572
RB: ~$280
TOTAL: $570 + ~$280 = ¬$850
Hourly: 12$/h

Considering the avg BI I am very satisfied with the month. Some goals for next one:

:diamond: Use the promo to get platinum (75 games for 20 days)
:diamond: Review, review, review!!!

+1 Move up, man! Very solid winning/hourly rate, especially considering BI level. Go go go on the 11$s imo.

Or not. Halfway through month I'm 70 bi down which sucks and my volume sucks even more. Anyway I got a pretty good reason for it! I'm moving to a new flat. Yesterday I rented a small causy sunny flat and finally I can live on my own again. As I'm finnishing bacherol in a new months, this will be a nice quiet place to study and grind and next two years I'm planning to study for master degree. I got a small sidejob for rent, poker earnings for the rest which I don't really need a lot and I'm pretty happy with my life for next 2-3 years. After that I got some bigger business plans, or maybe even poker plans if I happen to build a decent bankroll and skills or poker has another boom or something. :)

As for poker plans and goals I also have a few now for near future. I want to get a decent sample for 30max moving along limits til I average $8+ bi. This is pretty much the limit of those games where you can get about $20/h. I decided to withdraw rakeback only and leave profits to grow my bankroll til it's big enough for midstakes of 5max and decide if I wanna play 5max again. Rakeback is 50% at 30max so that would give me like $800 monthly with decent volume which is good enough.

Plans plans plans, but really I needed to put them on paper cause I've been very disorganized and unmotivated lately. :f_confused:

So now let's go storm those 30max!

Downswing nearly beaten so it's time make some profits for the month. Eventhough the variance is still super high in 30max but they're full of lovely fish. Guys limp/folding half stack, not calling 20% odds, etc is usual. April madness brought some regs though so final tables aren't that great but I still seek for 10-15% ROI.

Already in my new flat. What a great place to grind it is! Warm and causy and quiet and already brought me grinding mood even with some luck. Gonna prepare some spicy indian food now, dunno what I'm doing but should be eatable.

Got my new internet connection. I was worried a bit that it would suck cause people here are 50/50 for liking/hating the provider. But I must say this is the best I've ever had. 50-100 mbit/s to pretty much every site on earth that I most often use. And they even offer 300mbit, no idea who would need that. I also got digital TV and to my surprise Eurosport HD is free there and snooker is on today, omfg I'm in paradise. And all that for 17 euro/month. Gotta love Lithuania. :>

Haha, not me. I do look over my shoulder tho. I'm also from the ethnic part of Lithuania which are often mocked for being too frugal and economical. Low prices for quality products get me horny. There are numerous jokes about us.

A man is dying in his bed and on the last breath and asks his family if they're all around him. Wife answers yes, he then asks "Then why the hell the light is on in the kitchen?"

We also have a funny dialect to others.

Nothing much to review for April. Played only half of planned games and only BE. Overall I'm still at my desired 10%+ ROI on 30max though. Been running pretty bad though, winning only 40% of expected chips in allin hands. All stats are pretty much zeros so only an ugly graph this time.

Anyway, the worst news is that I got raped again by taxes. Thought I can pay taxes for 2011 til the end of 2012 but it's due this week so I'll pretty much have to cash out my whole br for it. I also payed 2 rents in the end of April and my salary isn't high for a reasonable br so I guess I'll need to find some staking or smth. Anyway, still optimistic and gonna find a way to make some poker profits again soon. :)

From 180 man @ stars, tried these days 5max(3.3$ and 5.5$), but these 30 man look tempting to me also.

If you'll agree will discuss more on skype.

Have a nice day!

Just 2 days left to finish bachelors thesis and I'm free! I'm gonna need to create a webpage and a small clients management system in summer and the rest of my time I will be able to grind again. Missed poker very much. :) On the other hand, after the taxes rape of $1000, I have no brankroll now. I received third starting capital $50 for ladbrokes today. Gonna try to luckbox it to a few hundred and start from there or take staking from real life friends.

Whoever would be still reading this, wish me luck with the thesis and see you soon!

So I finally graduated. Tomorrow I will know which master studies I'm approved for. Gonna have a few group mates from bachelor studies so it's gonna be fun years again.

I also moved my BR leftovers to Stars to try their 9man hyper turbos. I've never liked 5max and there isn't much more to play on Ongame. I guess I was used to grinding wherever the money was but now after 2 months break I just wanna try something else.

So far I'm enjoying the games. I've played 100ish $1.5s today. Everything seems new and interesting. Even 4 tabling was hard today. Anyway it's amazing how even 4 tabling you get over 20 games/h and even the structure is not that ridiculous as Ongames.

Shame those games only have $1.5 and $7 levels with good volume. I'll try to play a few thousand of those $1.5s and build some BR for $7s and maybe stay on Stars to play those... dunno. If Stars create $15 level or $30 stars getting volume, those could be cool games to go for supernova.

On the other hand it's a bit funny but I find Stars software hard to multitable. The fonts are super small, layouts shitty, registering is hard, etc. Anyway considering there are so many mass tablers on Stars, I guess it's configurable or adaptable or something...

Anyway, for now I'll be 9max hyper turbo super micro grinder. _cool:

Some goals for July:

:diamond: Remember how to grind sngs (psychological goal)
:diamond: 2000 games
:diamond: Reach 35-40 games/h
:diamond: Try and make Stars software comfortable
:diamond: Post some hands, graphs, search for some similar blogs, videos, strategies, etc
:diamond: Not bust my 50 BI BR!

The last one is the most important. GL and bye!

Congratulations on graduating!

Let us know what masters you get accepted for, yeah?

50BI Brm for hypers? Sounds risky! Good luck, a little positive variance at the start, and you'll be solidly set in no time!

Good luck with the July goals!

Regards,
Richard

Hi fruktpuff :)

Got the letter today, looks like I'm gonna be studying Data mining. Something like buying hand histories and analysing them to make profits in poker. Btw my thesis could be even poker related cause poker stats, derivative stats, interpretation, reliability, dependence on psychology, etc is perfect example of data mining.

And yeah 50 BI is very risky but since it's only $1.5 level and I'm only 4 tabling now, it's ok. I guess I'll move to next level with about 150 BIs which is $1000 for $7s.

I also got a fun hand. One of the funniest missclicks by me yesterday.

Hey, I used to play on Ongame, turbo games with starting stack 1500 but now not anymore. Now I'm starting to play on Stars 9max hyper turbo with 500 starting stack.

No worries, I've got almost 20% ROI in those so far. Obviously luck but I'm enjoying them so much that I think I can crush the games. :)
