IPoker, $5 Buy-in (400/800 blinds) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 4 Players

Guy on my left is 9/8 over 200+ hands rock. So I guess this is either ATC spot, or ICM nighmare to push with shorty on BU.

Hero (SB): 3,750 (4.7 bb)
BB: 4,820 (6 bb)
CO: 5,400 (6.8 bb)
BTN: 1,030 (1.3 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 9 7
2 folds, Hero raises to 3,750 and is all-in, BB calls 2,950

Flop: (7,500) 2 8 K (2 players, 1 is all-in)
Turn: (7,500) 6 (2 players, 1 is all-in)
River: (7,500) 8 (2 players, 1 is all-in)

Results:

Final Board: 2 8 K 6 8
Hero mucked 9 7 and lost (-3,750 net)
BB showed 9 K and won 7,500 (3,750 net)

lol sick spot, but we have to shove, esp since he's 9/8

not quite ATC but an ICM nightmare, turning down these spots is just too nitty imo

unfortunately when we get called we're crushed

I would still push, but be aware we shouldn't be too wide here given how short the BTN is. If you think BB is a spewer though, I would fold here. 97s is a pretty decent hand that usually has a very decent equity when called, so actually, we almost never are crushed when called.
