he guys,

did you know that both HerekPL and Savage1981 joined our team of voluntary poker experts? In our hand discussion forums, together with Chenny8888, <3, and many other voluntary but still very expert guys they answer all the questions like the one with T :spade:6
To be honest, I have no clue, and the hand would be a bit different with the SB and BB swapped with stacksizes. However we are pretty much in a need of a double up and the guy after us always having the comfort to see what we come up with.

I have to say it officialy.

Till end of the year i want achieve SuperNova status on stars.
Now im ~35k VPPs so gonna be funny. Need to earn ~610 vpp/day - this calc include days off like holidays/weeks off/trips etc. Easy if 30$ traffic would be better... So nvm wish me luck or not if you want :). I'm pretty sure i can do it!

July wrap-up

July was preety swingy month but at least all lines are above 0. Still run like shit at 15$ and keep crushing 30$. Whole month i was playing stts but at the end i have some thoughts.

I really likED 15$ KOs but decided to stop plying them now. Currently these games are so fested (like 9winnings regs in - sicko) that i dont see much value in grinding (prob im fish looking for excuse). Instead of i'm gonna play fifty50's and thankfully to savage1981 for showing me how fishy are 30$ normal speed stt.

Also decided to not look at hem/cashier after each session. From 1st of august i can do it only 1ce a week (i set tueasdays as day of truth;)).

Enjoy giraphess now:

15$ games

30$ games

all games

Next tuesday gonna be like that. Almost non ITM at 30s right now for ~ 50 games this month / and not sure about 50s.... Maybe i wont go busto by that but my mindset is in better shape when im not thinking about how much i won/lost today.

I'm starting to like more and more fiftys, if results will be good then i def make room and substract stts to fill my sessions with 30$ stake games.

This format is sooooo easy to play, and although loading normal speed (6minutes levels) games (these turbos require more skill imo and are lot more swingaments) it's possible to make decent volume and solid profit (check f.e. NoIQ Donkey - normal 50s reg).

I decided to explain my call here as I knew the hand made you mad at the time, and you seem like a good guy.

Whilst I'm obv fully aware of ICM and necessary calling ranges, you can't be so rigid as to say 'ICM is always right'. This hand is a good example imo.

It also never hurts to throw a few curveballs to the regs so they don't think they can just bowl you over every time they have a minor chip advantage over you (however, metagame is overrated in stts imo).

Anyway, what you failed to mention was that the other two players weren't 'unknowns' (not to me anyway). One is a mega-passive limpy fish type player, whilst the other one was a spewy uber fish.

I was therefore presented with a scenario whereby I could make a slightly -ev (on the bare face of it) call which would either a) bust me, or b) knock out the good reg at the table (you), and leave myself 3 handed with 2 players whom I know I can and probably will crush, especially with such a huge chip advantage.

I know you're shoving ATC here so I already knew at the time that if every player were of the same ability, I'd need something like 77+, a9s+, etc to call. (Again this depends on how you decide to calculate the 4 remaining bounties.)

So I called because calling here doesn't just gain you a flat chip advantage, it gains you a lot more when you recalculate future equity after this hand is played. Yes, of course anything can happen after this, and there are no guarantees of winning a single further hand. But poker is about expectancy, and in this case I feel my potential winning expectancy was increased by calling here, to negate the ev I lost by getting my chips in in what is normally a -ev situation.

A similar example of this is when you're playing a headsup stt against a totally passive, massively fishy, non aggro donk (they're very rare now but they used to be about everywhere you looked ). If they shove allin blinds 25/50 for 1500 chips, ICM (which is unable to take into account player ability & table dynamic) will probably tell you to call with Ax, 44 or 55+, maybe KQ, KJ etc. But which is better, to call now with some marginal hand and win 54% of the time, or stay in the game and realise your true expectancy against this type of player, and win 70%+ of the time?

So that's why I called. :)

ps, I will sometimes do weird looking stuff at the tables. This is because I'm either tilting a bit, or trying to keep myelf focused & motivated by making some more unusual type plays. I've been full time for 5 years now and it can get pretty testing at times :f_biggrin:

Cya at the tables and gl!

Well, you could come up with a very long and boring explanation or you could just say "Look, sometimes I just make really bad calls".

Lol, man, thats baaaad!

Even if BU is on atc as he should be, AQs is like -1.8 EVDiff% there.

You cant justify that.

And even if you call AQs, BU can still push atc.

I have to change heart-attack day from tuesday to saturaday.
Decided to stop playing 15$ lvl games (glad i did it), fuond KOs unprofitable at all (if i loss a game i'm -15$, but winning one is like winning 11$ game (1st is paid ~50$), add increasing # of reg in them (no matter bad/good/retarded etc - still are lowering my edge).
Fall in love in fiftys50 (for now reg speed - turbos are crazy and i dont have BR to play 30$ games so i stick to regs). In regs speed we can also make nice profit (carusox, noiq donkey), and have nice rb (slowly earning vpp (60k left...).

So take a look, leave ur toughts etc :

30$ - running so hot this month (but still ~7% since i started)

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

My new love - 50s, mix of 15/30$

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Seriously i was very unsure about cashier for this time - i know 9m are in minus, have no clue about 50s - and im happy what i saw.

Does he think i'm~70% here?

But seriuosly - i have to work solidly on ranges, cause these games are soooo crazy - ppl raise a lot (random hands not ranges - i saw 54o UTG etc stuff ) like CO -40%, BTN-65%, SB-90%, call 3bet also wide (antes think they have odds ;) on bubble when cEV desnt play anymore).
Im not sure if more than 10 regs heard (to know is v. long way ;) ) about ICM. They only know to keep min, min, min, minraising ;) - and im suprised this dumb strategy works for them...

Hi!

So what tools do you use analysing hands in fifty50?

You cannot really adjust the payout structure such that everyone gets 20% of prizepool in that pokerstars format. Or do you think the approximation is close enough?

i use 60/10/10/10/10 as stands in ICMizer/wizz. But it would be nice if any1 could make these % not fixed, but depending on stacks.
