I'm not sure when I should give up this hand. On the flop? I was thinking I have the best hand here even on the river sometimes.

Hi,

I don't mind betting the flop and turn here as we can get him to fold a big part of his range (including better hands). Most people will fold some low pairs on the turn and their floats (so 77,88, floats).

Once he calls the turn and board has 2 pairs on it what is the purpose of our river bet? Worse doesn't call and better doesn't really fold.

I generally have problems with this type of situation. I bet flop and turn with not much and then am afraid of checking river as opponent can bet any river knowing I have given up.It's more of a mindset leak as I think I am thinking of the short term profit/loss rather than long term EV

I would raise 4 bb from Small blind especially with this hands AK,AQ,AJ and so on... I would just bet flop and check fold turn...Q is a perfect card to Cbet ..also on the river I do not see any value...

Hi.

I probably check Turn. I don't think the Turn changed anything.

Turn Aggression = Fold Equity + Pot Equity

In this case, we don't have too much equity on the turn. The board also did not change in a way which improves our perceived range and I don't think he's folding much.

River is probably the worst card in the deck to bluff. I think he's hardly folding anything here.
