Wow, just wow...
Amazing post and very inspiring, not only for poker but life in general.
Very nice article, lots of good things one can apply to our daily life.
When I read the article I remembered that learning how to write with 10 Fingers really boost your productivity. There are a lot of programs available, I found Tipp10 (for German users, and it is free) very helpful.
Thank you for the great work you have done!!!

Thanks a lot for all the effort you put into this guide Schnitzelfisch!
I'm not even half way through it, but I want to give it a serious try to complete it.
I wish you luck in accomplishing your life goals! Maybe you could consider publishing a book yourself? ♦

I don't know why I've not followed this guide but I'm going to get right on it now!
I've had a quick skim through it just so that I have a rough idea of what's to come but I will take it one step at a time, time to write that vision statement
ok what is this about? I saw tons of text and I would rather see quick breakdown or rather shortcut in 3 words how to become a poker pro.
Cheers!
With that attitude, you'll never become one ♦. Don't seek shortcuts. Becoming a poker pro takes a lot of time, dedication and learning. If you can't even start reading something that could help you along the way then don't bother trying to become one at all

Wooo! Harsh!But totally correct.
Read the first post entirely through once.
Then start again, following the instructions.
Keep going back through because you will get things wrong and you'll want to adjust. The only two things that a human being brings to any endeavour are attitude and effort. With a willing attitude and sufficient effort you can learn any skill and acquire all knowledge.
You may as well get started now.

Harsh yep, but sometimes a reality check is good :).
Hmm, I disagree that the post should be read entirely before applying anything. Because there's about 25k words to read at an average reading rate of about 150 WPM, it would take you about 2.5 hours to go through it.
The problem is that many people read it once, then they think they know everything, and carry on with their lives, never actually applying it.
Some might say that they will someday go through it again and start applying it, but you don't actually need to go through it in order to apply the first steps.
I think it's cruical to apply the first steps as soon as you read them. At least the things like a vision statement, setting goals, nutrition, exercise, sleep, hydration and proper breaks. I suppose you can apply things like speed reading, investing in yourself and audiobooks randomly, but I think you should definitely apply the things that you do to your life.
The problem with reading on is that you will forget about the things that you've read in the past and will "apply them someday", which will of course never happen ♦.
The power is not in the knowledge, but in what you do with it.

Since you wrote it, I bow to your better judgement. ![]()
I pretty much always approach instructional material the way I described though.
All through once means that when I start again at the top, I have a context in which everything fits.
The most important thing though is DO SOMETHING -- reading by itself won't cut it.

do you really believe that programming yourself is what people want? To be successful the best thing is to have vision and it doesn't matter what way you are going to use. Actually it is best to just have that leadership vision rather than anything else.
So as for me. I would read it and pick what I need in order to reach my goal. For that I might not need some of the features of it as I know for example that I need to act fast in some cases and won't have time to take 1 hour a day for exercise.
Even though nowadays u can combine many things together like 3 hours sleep a day/ exercising as you go atc.. ![]()
I believe that we can agree that some things has and have to be discarded in some situations even if we accept your manual as 100% working
It depends on many circumstances of course. The guide is generalized, I cannot really provide personalized approach for everyone. I can do that via private coachings, but not through an article ;).
I'm not sure what exactly you mean by programming yourself, I'm mostly talking about setting up good habits and getting rid of bad habits, which are the main reason that people are unproductive.
I think that vision is crucial if you want to be maximally successful in ANY area of your life. I'm not sure how leadership vision will help you excell in poker. If you feel like you know everything already, then why do you make threads like this?
If you like the advice, use it. If you don't, then don't. And my guide is full of guidelines and concepts. It is aimed at people who really want to improve and need help with it. It is there to show them the way. Of course each person will apply it a bit differently, but I really agree with Vorpal - you need to stop thinking, start doing.
I'm not sure why exactly you are posting in this thread though. You are sure as hell not contributing to the poker community with your posts. So basically, you are not in line with your vision right now ;). If your intentions are only of trolling and wasting my time by constantly complaining, instead of applying things. So I would kindly ask you to go troll somewhere else, as this thread is aimed for people to improve and not to waste their lives by trolling on online forums.
From the forum rules:
• We don't want provocateurs who complain for the sake of complaining - no trolling
Thanks,

I didn't say where and how am contributing to poker community. Perhaps not as much here. That's true
I was basically trying to find out what is your thread about.
And yeah. Thread you've mentioned was aimed to improve my poker skills around the bubble and get opinions on whether my mind process was right or wrong. And as you can read my last story there. I was going for win even though it meant I would be at two spots unlucky. I didn't have to resteal with 30+ bigs which I didn't mention there. I could call/fold in case I miss the flops.
U can't expect everyone who is posting here to be str8 forward high stakes player. Especially from someone who didn't yet have desire to get loads of cash as I am content with what I have in my life.
Thanks for your time anyways. As I've said earlier when I find time I will look more deeply into this. I like those things as I've studied extensively some work of stevepavlina & Stephen Covey's.
I hope my being here at this thread doesn't feel like complete waste of your time as I've certainly been enlightened on some topics.
cheerio,
