2nd pair BvB facing raise

Villain is a tricky reg and doesnt like to fold (double float me on A33A with 78o) and calls very wide BvB so his range impacts a lot on this board.

At the same time I dont think I can fold 2nd pair on the flop. Turn is a good card for him to barrel with his bluffs so I cant find a fold either.
I dont expect him to valuebet 2p on the river (I can have lots of 7x, I open 78% on SB) and he may think the A is a good card to bluff so I called again.

Std or spewy?

$1 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 3 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BB: 113.08 BB
BTN: 109.96 BB
Hero (SB): 100 BB

Hero posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has J♠ 8♠

fold, Hero raises to 2.5 BB, BB calls 1.5 BB

Flop: (5 BB, 2 players) 5♦ 9♣ 8♥
Hero bets 2.5 BB, BB raises to 6 BB, Hero calls 3.5 BB

Turn: (17 BB, 2 players) 6♦
Hero checks, BB bets 12 BB, Hero calls 12 BB

River: (41 BB, 2 players) A♠
Hero checks, BB bets 23 BB, Hero ???

Hi.

That's really spewy. His Flop raising range contains many 6X hands.

And if you don't want to face this situation, you shouldn't even cbet in the first place. You don't need to bet for "protection" because we can always expect him to stab when checked to.

Thanks.

You fold turn then? Or the river?

As played?

I would c/c Flop and c/f Turn (we have some straights in our c/c range since I would c/c 65 and 68).

I would just c/f turn too as played by you. We just have absolutely no playability on turns and rivers.
