If we raise the flop for value why are we not continuing on the blank turn?

I would put him all in on the turn given his stack and your flop line.

Yeh, if you are no confident just call the flop and possibly call him down on safe turn/river but then we lose value from pair+draw, Ax, etc.

Bogdan, would you also raise the flop and try to get it in?

I think I would just call the flop and re-evaluate the turn - bet-size (if any), timing etc.

We can still get value from Ax/draws, if he checks turn or bets small.

We can go either way. Raising allows us to get the money in sooner (by turn or even flop) while calling keeps his range wider and he can continue bluffing.

I think that his bigger flop bet is rarely super strong because a lot of these fishy guys like to bet smaller to keep you in (or min ck/raise).
