PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (8 handed) Poker Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Button ($32.45)
SB ($50.95)
BB ($30)
UTG ($18.50)
UTG+1 ($39.85)
MP1 ($28.55)
MP2 ($50)
Hero ($8.75)

Preflop: Hero is CO with A♥, K♣.
2 folds, MP1 raises to $1, 1 fold, Hero raises to $3, 3 folds, MP1 calls $2.

Flop: ($6.75) T♣, T♥, 7♥ (2 players)
MP1 checks, Hero bets $5.75 (All-In)

Pushed all-in instead of a continuation bet, because a 2/3 c-bet would have used up most of my stack anyways.

Was this the correct play in this situation?

Pot is bigger than your stack, so that's an easy push when you're cbetting.
I normally push when I have to bet more than half of my stack.

Hello kolt45,

sadly, with a slightly smaller stack you end up cbeting all-in in most of the cases. 'Sadly' only if you don't hit, but I assume you didn't since you're posting ;).

But still, the board's good for cbet so I wouldn't have much trouble with putting all my money in.

Ended up winning this hand.
But did lose in this a situation a few times so was unsure if I was playing it correctly. Now I know the right way to play when it happens again. Thanks

Result:

Flop: ($6.75) T♣, T♥, 7♥ (2 players)
MP1 checks, Hero bets $5.75 (All-In), MP1 calls $5.75.

Turn: ($0) Q♦ (2 players, 1 all-in)

River: ($0) Q♣ (2 players, 1 all-in)

Final Pot: $18.25

MP1 has 4s 4c (two pair, queens and tens).
Hero has Ah Kc (two pair, queens and tens).
Outcome: Hero wins $18.25.
