Will do. yeah, i've noticed you
Here's the March graph and stats.

STT tourneys: 1859
evROI: 5.4%
ROI: 4.8%
Winnings: $1159.98
Time: 99 hr
$/hr: 11.72
AvBI: $13.04
Some winnings are not included due to HEM crashes, also didnt bother to calculate the rakeback. So, nice month overall ![]()
Goals for April:
1) 10 000 VIP points
2) include 30s - failed to do that in March - played around 20 games, lost around 200$ and then dropped them

7$ hypers: 487 games, ROI 8.2%, evROI 6.0%
15$ hypers: 619 games, ROI -3.3%, evROI 0.2%
15$ turbo: 314 games, ROI 10.8%, evROI 11.9%
15$ normal: 420 games, ROI 13.6%, evROI 11.4%
Weeee, i finished 5th in last weeks high orbit earth division leaderboard ![]()
Added a picture of me grinding. I like to stand while grinding, helps me to concentrate.

Nice month. Remember to use decent table selection on 30$ games. It starts to be much more important on that level. We might actually end up in same table in 15$ turbo games. Tend to play those sometimes. Are you playing 6 or 9 man or mixing both?
So grinding while standing on broken leg? Don't get me wrong, but that sounds bit masochistic...

I play 9man exclusively. I think i've seen you on tables, I think i've marked you, although i cant remember your sn right now and i cant remember, why did i think that sn i marked as you was you ![]()
And regarding adding some new games, do you suggest looking into MTT-s or 6-max?

Yeah, it might sound masochistic, but since i'm a red stick figure (sry not mentioning it before), my weight is such that it doesnt really hurt at all. Sometimes, when someone happens to open a window and a door in my flat at the same time causing some draughts, i even levitate above the keyboard. Thats pretty tilting actually.
Well maybe you have got some info from Finnish community (I am coach there). My nick is JarppeK in pokerstars.
Anyway about trying different game types it's up to your interest. 6max you have to use late position more effectively and play with wider ranges than in 9max. Blinds will eat your stack faster and so on. Mtt-sng on other hand let you continue playing full table. In general you want to play more on cEV in early/middle play and study final table ICM side.
But one big advantage of mixing game types is wider game pool. If 9max happen to be too reggy then maybe 6max is not and vice versa.
Do you have a special tall table for grinding standing? I followed your idea and will try it for a couple of days. I've been getting pain and numbness is my butt, so that may help

Not really. I just bend over the keyboard. Might cause some extreme pains in lower back and eventually most likely paralysis, but if your butt is really numb, it might be a fair trade off.
Hi!
It's pretty interesting push/fold spot:
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, 30 Tournament, 75/150 Blinds 15 Ante (4 handed)
SB (t3,066) (good reg)
BB (t332) (fishy, but not awful)
Hero (UTG) (t312)
Button (t790) (good reg)
Hero's M: 1.09
Preflop: Hero is UTG with J
, K
Push or fold?
ICM nash eq tells me to be pretty tight here, 88, ATs, AQ and FGS a bit wider, 77, ATs, AJ, KQs.
1. Since BB is a recreational player, I dont think he would call (and overcall) as wide as he should (over 80% in nash, ATC in FGS).
2. Since both regs know that i should be tight there, i dont expect them to make wide overpushes. ICM nash for them to overpush is JJ, AKs for BU, 21% for SB, BUT in FGS only 88, AJs, AQo for SB ![]()
3. Since blinds were to increase in the next hand, I was sure to blind out first. That could make BB call tighter vs SB (if i fold).
With these ranges its a close push:

What do you think? Do you push? Do you push, if you dont blind out first, but BB hits the all-in first in the next orbit (as it is if the blinds wont increase)?
For the record: I pushed
I just got a refund from Pokerstars, some account collusion thing. I was wondering, how profitable it is anyway to cooperate 2 or 3 accounts in a 9-man sng? I dont think it is very profitable, i'd think that you must cooperate hundreds of games and every participant must be at least BE player and situations where you can benefit significantly doesnt come up very often.
Maybe its quite profitable in cash games... But in 9man sng i cant see a big point to that.
KJ hand - neverending discussion about pushing/folding/limping, very hard if not impossible to calculate, evaluate future benefits/disadvantages, but I think u dont make mistake when u fold or push, u can justify both.
Collusion at 9man is obviously absolutely ridicoulous ♦ Some friends might just play few games together thinkin they can benefit, but...easy assumption is: If each of u would play 9man, different game, thn u and your friend, u both can make 1st place. If u play in the same game, the best u can make is 1st and second...so wtf is purpose for that collusion?
I've never tought of it much before, but interestingly there are situations in tournaments, where reducing your op calling range reduces actually your pushing range.
One of those might be in bubble, where reducing some shorty's overcalling range might reduce your pushing range.
Another situation came up yesterday in a raise/fold-spot:
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, 30 Tournament, 25/50 Blinds (8 handed) - PokerStars Converter Tool from http://www.flopturnriver.com
SB (t1,821)
BB (t1,665)
UTG (t1,491)
Hero (UTG+1) (t858)
MP1 (t3,072)
MP2 (t1,085)
CO (t1,783)
Button (t1,725)
Hero's M: 11.44
Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with 10
, 10
UTG bets t125, Hero ??
Its a shove if utg raises 10.7% (77, A9, KJs, KQo) and calls 88, AK, but a fold if he calls 99, AK.
Its pretty logical actually, just havent thought about this before
If it is a push when he calls 88 AK but fold if folds 99 AK then in general is a very marginal to breakeven spot and in turbos you can wait for way better spots than this marginal
April 2013
Here's April:
Games: 1315 (30$ #209; 15$ #976; 7$ #130 + some mtts)
ROI: 4.8%
evROI: 3.7%
Winnings: $1037.16
Time: 90.3 hr
AvBI: $16.57
I'm glad that my avBI has increased a bit, but the downside is that i'm still running pretty bad in 30$. Those 200 games is about BE. Hope that will change eventually.
Good luck in May everyone!
Oh yeah, about the April goals.
1) Failed in 10 000 vpps goal - made 7500 - just enough for platinumstar ![]()
2) Inflitrating in 30s - ongoing process - i can beat this limit!
For May - same goals.
