You guys all set for first xmas with baby?
As in not setting up anything and going to Grandparents for Christmas CHECK!
Really been a bit rough with baby having a ton of gas and crying a lot because of that. We went to Dr. today and my wife now has to adjust her diet as she was eating too many dairy/tomato based products. Baby doesn't like that :(.
How about yourself?

Amen to that ♦
Yeah I remember those times when little one was ill and it's very hard because they can't tell you at that age! Soon enough though
As we put a close on 2012 it has been a year I think I may never forget for as long as I may live. The combination of my father passing and the birth of my first born child make this a very emotional year for me.
It is obvious that these two events really shaped why I wasn't playing as much poker as I have in years past. I have still played and I think one thing I can say for certain is that I made my moments on the felt count. Winning a freeroll package to the Aussie Millions (15k that I just had turned to cash) was the definite highlight of the year. The rest of the time was spent working on new games which I think will be lucrative if/when poker will become fully legal in the US.
This past month I have made almost $4,000 which is pretty good considering the main game of focus right now FLO8 is usually not running in the US. I'm forced to play a good bit more Heads-up and short-handed. Despite all the challenges I am still able to win. I have limited time with the baby to play poker and when I do have time to play games are usually not running. The only time I'm certain to get action is late at night.
I think the most motivating thing with all the outcomes of this year has been that I am able to adapt so well. I had to adapt to having less time to play. I had to adapt to changing my primary game of MTTs to cash games. I had to adapt to playing FLO8 and PLO from NLH. So much has changed during the year yet I still won.
The MTT market is all but dead in the US outside of Sunday's so the plan going forward it to continue to play MTTs on Sundays but focus on playing FLO8 and PLO all other days. I'm hopeful that in time the US online poker market will improve either with better sites or legalization. It can't get much worse!!!
I have picked out two live trips for this year one being close to my home town for a WSOP circuit event in North Carolina. It should be an incredibly soft field and that will take place in April and I will be there the entire series.
The other live trip will always be the WSOP. I really enjoyed the daily deepstack tournament and its structure since people tend to think they are very deep when in all actuality it turns into a turbo tournament really quickly. It has tremendous value and hopefully I'll be able to go there for a long time this coming year. The past years I have been in Vegas for two weeks but maybe going to three and including the Main Event is the next step for me.
Brayden on the other hand has been a handfull so far. I had no idea what I was getting too and my initial plan on having multiple children is on hold for now atleast! I hope the little guy but he is crying so much he is hard to bare for extended periods of time. He is two months today so I'm hoping we are through the worst of it!
I Hope everyone enjoys themselves this Holiday season and have a great 2013!!!

This is our little Brayden with his cousin on Christmas Eve

Same to you Thanks and Take Care!
Just got back from a WSOP-Circuit series. It went pretty well but could have been much better.
First tournament I final tabled a small $250 PLO event finishing 6th for $1644. A few events later I final tabled a big reentry event $365 buy-in. I ran really poorly on the final table though and only managed 8th for $8600. I came to that FT T-3 in chips but never got any cards or spots and 3b shove AJ into QQ.
So really i ran very poorly from the FT and until the end of the series. I got KK in 3 ways vs two AK and Ace hits on turn for a top 5 stack with 160 remaining. Then in a satty I get KK aipf vs AKo and get flushed.
Then in the main I proceed to lose all four all ins and was never really much I could do to avoid them and while I was able to accumulate chips I wasn't able to do much with them AKo<A9s KQo<A5o 86s<A9o KQs<AQo and three of them were against the same guy so if I win one of the first two I take him out.
Not a big deal I played well not much more I can ask for. Made a little money too ♦
