I want to record the odd session I play and I want to also record the sound, either background I'e Skype or my own mic!
What is the best free tool to do this as I dl cam studio and can't get it to work!!

I tried it, but my 8-yr old computer didn't have the resources it needs.
You may have better luck.
My grandson uses http://www.fraps.com/
I have no experience with this at all.

For strictly audio recording, I have had good success with Audacity -- and its free.
Let us know what you decide on.

Go for "Open Broadcast Software".
No special hardware needed, and also the output video is much smaller in comparison to
fraps when 20secs goes for a g/b.
