(50/100 blinds) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 6 Players

BTN: 2,410 (24.1 bb)
Hero (SB): 3,698 (37 bb)
BB: 3,165 (31.7 bb)
UTG: 914 (9.1 bb)
MP: 830 (8.3 bb)
CO: 2,483 (24.8 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with T T
UTG raises to 914 and is all-in, 3 folds, Hero raises to 1,728, BB raises to 3,165 and is all-in, Hero calls 1,437

Flop: (7,244) A 2 3 (3 players, 2 are all-in)
Turn: (7,244) 9 (3 players, 2 are all-in)
River: (7,244) 5 (3 players, 2 are all-in)

UTG had been short stacked for a few hands but this was his first shove.
By raising I was trying to make sure BB didnt enter the pot, should I have just shoved as well?

Hello slippyjim ,

Its best to shove preflop and hope for hands like AJ+ to fold. Shove for most fold equity is best imo with this stacks.
