I was utilising my UTG perceived range and fired 4bet. Got called.

Checking flop to give up.
When checked back on such board texture I think I have some equity to take down on turn.
Though I guess shove would be better than 1/3.

River has some potential to fold out missed flushes.

Hey Ilioas,

Folding preflop to 3bet MPvsUTG is fine here.

It's a reasonable hand to include in your 4bet bluff range as part of a balanced strategy, but it's probably totally unnecessary vs most opponents at these limits because they are not capable of bluffing vs UTG open.

The other difficulty is that opponent is half stacked which makes 4bet/folding problematic.

Would just give up postflop. After opponent flats 4bet and checks back flop I'd imagine he has some showdown value. No guarantee he will fold this when he has less than a pot sized bet left.
