Yeh it will be a good game. knights will have to pull off something pretty special to win though imo. None of their usual 40 mins of solid footy then shutting down once they get in front

Also Roberts knee injury late in the game could be trouble

He's been at it again. Now Tim "weygang" English has finished 4th of 2081 in WCOOP Event 47 $320 NLHE 3 x Chance for $53,558.83.

This weekend brings the Grand Final Qualifiers to the NRL. 4 teams head into the weekend and only 2 will survive to play for the ultimate prize.

To me that would leave the Grand Final as South Sydney Vs Newcastle which would be the fairy tale situation.

Souths, after being excluded from the NRL for 6 years, fought court cases, organised protests and were bought out by Rusty Crowe. Now they have a side capable of not only winning a premiership but of starting a long dynasty.

Newcastle, written off before the finals even started have surprised at every turn and keep winning as underdogs. The master coach, Wayne Bennett looking for his 8th premiership (I think) with three different clubs.

So don't take my tips as educated. This is the Grand Final I would like to see.

It looked like another WCOOP without an Aussie bracelet winner until up steps Luke "ValueFolding" McLean.

In the 2 day Event 62 $700 NLHE Super Knockout, Luke shipped a nice shiny gold bracelet and $104,173.05 + $3,712.50 (11 bounties) = $107,885.55.

With only 8 players eliminated for the day, David Yan went from chip leader to out in 12th (sorry for the bro's across the ditch) and Martin Kozlov bubbled the 8 man final table when he ran QQ into AA.

However Jeff is in the ideal position as chip leader.

Before I get into my update, a huge "Bonza, mate" to Barry Carter (News Editor and new best friend) for including this blog in his EN community weekly roundup.

Unfortunately Jeffrey Rossiter was unable to convert his EPT10 London FT into a win, but no doubt he will enjoy the 152,320 Euros for his 5th place finish.

So the festival moves to Paris for WSOPE. Still the Aussies crush. Jackie Glazier ships Event 1 Ladies for 21,850 Euros, but more importantly a nice bracelet.

And it doesn't stop there. Move on to Event 2 NLHE Re-entry and Daniel Laidlaw sits in 3rd place on the FT with 357k chips.

In event 3 NLHE Mixed Max, all I can inform you of at this stage is that Jeffrey Rossiter, Jackie Glazier and Kiwi David Yan have all busted.

Much better spectacle than the AFL grand final. With 20 minutes to go, it looked like how far Manly. Full credit to the Roosters for the fightback.

Further news from WSOPE Event 3. It would appear the only Australian survivor to Day 2 is Jonno "MONSTER DONG" Karamalikis at around 33/67. Although we can probably claim the short stack, Tony G.

Another day down at WSOPE and time for another Aussie update.

Sadly Daniel Laidlaw was unable to convert his solid FT stack into a bracelet and was eliminated in 6th place for €25,190.

No luck in the Mixed Max either with Jonno Karamalikis busting very early in the day.

Event #4 €1,650 PLO started yesterday. 184 players ponied up the buyin and after 8 brutal levels only 29 remained including Aussie Martin Kozlov (10th) and Honorary Aussie Dan "djk123" Kelly (18th).

The plan tomorrow is to play 10 levels or to a FT. Somehow I don't think they'll need 10 levels.

Event #4 €1,650 PLO is down to the final table, As mentioned yesterday they were planning on playing 10 levels or to the FT. They got to the final table far too early so decided to play down to 6. Aussie Martin Kozlov sits in 4th place. Play will resume with blinds at 1.5k/3k.

And tomorrow starts the MAIN EVENT.

WSOPE Day 1a is in the books. 171 of the best players in the world sat down for 6 90 minute levels and about half will return for day 2.
