PKR, $0.10/$0.25 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 5 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

MP: $25.40 (101.6 bb)
CO: $25 (100 bb)
Hero (BTN): $58.58 (234.3 bb)
SB: $24.89 (99.6 bb)
BB: $50.37 (201.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BTN with 4 3
2 folds, Hero raises to $0.62, SB folds, BB raises to $2.50, Hero calls $1.88

Flop: ($5.10) 3 2 5 (2 players)
BB bets $3.40, Hero calls $3.40

Turn: ($11.90) Q (2 players)
BB bets $7.93, Hero calls $7.93

River: ($27.76) 7 (2 players)
BB bets $13.88, Hero raises to $44.75 and is all-in, BB calls $22.66

Villain is a reg i believe, seen him Multi-tabling and he seems abit aggro but no sample size to confirm

39/33, 23.5(17) 3bet .. 36 hands

So first off looking back i think i played the hand awfully. river shove was definitely the worlds most retarded thing. Thought i still might generate some FE but i think my logic is flawed

43s is not a standard open / 3b call but since me and the bb are fairly deep and we have position i don't think its awful.

Flop: i think putting in a small raise is definitely the way to go, about $8,50 or so? with having so many outs if he 3bets small ish we can ship and hope to generate some FE to get rid of his weaker overpairs?

vs 99+ we have 43% Equity and if he 3b/folds 99-JJ(maybe even QQ) this is definitely the way to go?

(Or maybe we should just fold pre :f_biggrin: )

Cheers

heh interesting, i greatly dislike pre as his pf sizing is decent.
postflop it's hard to guess what's your FE, i mean he might just be like "zomfg overpair never folding" at all points, even though it's 200bb... if you get 3bet he is also highly likely to have at least an overpair i'd expect your fold equity to approach zero.

as played i don't think river shove is really super awful, but you probably need some good stats/history, def not a play i'd like against some random like this guy still is...

Yeah looking at it his 3bet size is quite large and should indicate a stronger range. Completely missed his sizing and just saw "omg 200bb deep" :f_ugly:

When he barrels river also i dont think he will be bluffing alot, people dont triple barrel enough at this limit to make the push worth while.

Think a little bit of fancy play syndrome crept in when its just best to keep things straight forward and solid.

Cheers tomaloc :)

Hi ABShortland

I definitely agree that preflop is spewy.

The last thing you want (deep especially) is to take a weak hand postflop and play a big pot. You never really flop strong hands with 43 and all the draws you get are super weak as well.

So just fold pre.

As played what were you hoping he folds on the river? I doubt you get many overpairs or Qx to fold there.
