i guess i could bet the turn..

Yeap, I think I'd bet on the flop to get value out of draws though. Since nobody has shown strength on the flop you can presume your TP is good here and get value of worse hands. I think check/calling the river is fine, he was probably on a draw that didn't hit and he wouldnt call any more bet. he could call here with 9x and a weaker ace though...

Hi all, I like this line.

Betting out on the flop opens us to getting raised by draws, etc. and better hands, in which case it's very tough for us to make the right play in the longrun: we lose either lose big pots in the longrun to better aces, or fold the best hand to draws.

check/call gets value from bluffs, etc.

Turn is fine. Against a bad players, I would bet 1/2 pot on the river and fold to a raise.
