CO: $10.15 (101.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A 5
3 folds, BTN raises to $0.30, SB folds, Hero calls $0.20

Flop: ($0.65) 8 3 T (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $0.40, Hero calls $0.40

Turn: ($1.45) 9 (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $0.90, Hero raises to $2.90, BTN..........

His double barrel show some strength at these limits so we can expect him to have some strong hands in his range. Thus your raise is fine.

The only question is regarding bet size and river play. IF we want to set up stacks for the river we need to make the raise big enough to be able to shove without overbet. So you could add a few more big blinds.
