Hi! I´m currently using the free version of the ICMIZER and really like the program, but I have a problem: I am unable to import hands played on iPoker-skins (poker770 and EverestPoker).

When i try to import a tourney from my hand history folder the "preview" says "...looks like one hand". When I then click on "load them" it loads quite a while and when the process is done the "hand window" (where you can choose the hand you want to review) says "Hand 0 of 0".

Do you have any idea what might cause this problem? The hand histories are stored locally in xml-format.
I added some screenshots.
Thanks!

Hey. Clearly there is a problem with format of this XMLs, maybe they changed something recently, or you found some unsupported case.

To fix it I dont need ICMIZER screenshots, but instead XML files which you are using with histories.

Please send them to me on support email (can be found here: http://www.pokericmcalculator.com/en-us/feedback/ ) and I will fix that quite soon.

ICMIZER has changed its home - it can now be found at:

http://www.icmpoker.com/icmizer/

Please update your links guys, and redownload new version (1.6.0) which uses this new address (from URL above).

Note that old version (1.5.X) will soon stop working once the process of moving is complete.

Kroenung, I have fixed the issue with provided XML format IPoker hands.

There are some problems however, so far I am not sure how to figure out who the hero is, as it seems that that information is only provided in Session info, and not in single hand related data.

Please let me know about your experience.

Note that this has been added to new version of ICMIZER 1.6.0 only.

Hey bluffme19

First of all ICMIZER isn't sharkscope, so here we do calculations not searches =)

The free plan allows to do 3 calculations per day for free.
If you want to do more than that you need a subscription.

ICMIZER subscriptions are "pay as you" go by definition.
When you need it you buy a subscription, when you dont need it, you do not buy.

Compare this to usual big-chunk-of-money-upfront for software piece and you see how this is exactly pay as you go.

A lot of players start out with 1 month subscription to check it out, and then order longer subscriptions once they are satisfied.

To use moneyback guarantee you can order 3 month or longer subscription, since 1 month subscriptions are non refundable. In this case you can check it out for first month, and get full refund if you feel like it doesnt fit your needs.

No, unfortunately currently the only supported methods are the ones available on website.

They are paypal or credit card.

Hi i just won a sng and was a very long 4 handed bubble, eventually after everyone stealing in turn from each other i was the short stack after a bad beat, I called a push with 22 and beat AQ. I won the sng shortly after.

I watched ur video and loaded the whole game with ur programme, if i followed its math i would have lost around 7th place as there is no fold option. the first hand that i had T3 off said i should push in MP1 which makes no sense as obviously i will lose all my chips.

I thought i would give you some constructive criticism as the programme looks like a good learning tool.

Thanks

SupaBalls, ICMIZER is a pretty complex analysis analysis tool and it has a non trivial learning curve. This is ok, because poker is a very complex game.

ICMIZER takes mathematical approach towards tournament situations. In the essense however we calculate expected value for our decisions and find out whether it makes mathematically to push them or its better to fold.

The EV of hand will appear not in a single hand, but in series of hands, that how expected value works. So if you assign ranges correctly and ICMIZER says you that T3o is a push, it means that it will be more profitable on distance to always push it in such scenario, compared to folding.

However if you narrow your view to single hand or single tournament, of course any thin push could lead to a bust sometimes. This is not the best way to approach tournament poker or sit and goes.

You gotta play thousands of tournaments, hundreds of thousands of hands. Over the course of those hands if you are making correct decisions with those weak hands and push them at appropriate time you will see how your results will improve and your ROI will increase.

This strategy can easily be counter intuitive at times and thats normal too.

Q - is it possible for you to provide a link to the icon file?

For some reason, my ICMizer shortcut defaults to the blank page icon...

I have tried right-clicking on the shortcut to change the icon, and it sees an icon there, but it does not update the icon...

Thanks.

Hi Q,

I am curious about the different hand ranking systems used in ICMizer - primarily about their origins.

I read in another forum, where somebody quoted an e-mail from you, that in the absence of selecting specific hands for a range, you suggested Sklansky-Chubukov (SC) was probably a good default for most players/situations. That Versus Random Hand (VRH) was probably slightly better against Fish and that the Power-Push (PP)and Power-Call (PC) rankings were probably slightly better against Tight Players.

I apologize if something got misinterpreted in the "quote-of-a-quote-of-a-quote" above...

I found some info about how the SC rankings were developed and I believe I understand how the VRH rankings were developed, but I cannot find any info on how the PP/PC rankings were developed. I was hoping that you could point me in the right direction? Just the general idea behind the rankings - no math-proofs required!

Hey Ramble.

Sorry for late reply, somehow I didn't get notifications to email.

1) Ico problem, it seems to be a problem with Win8? As everything works on win7 and mac I believe.

Anyway here is an icon you can use, which will work.

http://www.icmpoker.com/images/icmizer_32.ico

2) about Rankings.

First of all I do not recognize the quote, I think its not mine, as I never recommend VS random rankings, for example.

Push and Call rankings value hands in different order.

When you push , you are called by strong hands with big cards in them, not some connected Ten-highs, so for push rankings it values some suit connectors more than K2o for example, as when called K2o is more dominated than 76s.

As for call rankings, it values more hands with high cards, as you need equity when you call, so it prefers K2o over 76s for example.

You can use those rankings when you are building charts for example, if you are building pushing chart, it may make sense to use Call rankings for your opponents.

Generally rankings are advanced feature, and they affect behaviour of sliders for the most part, so you can live fine with default SC rankings. They were requested by some advanced guys, note that there is ability to create your own hand rankings too in ICMIZER.

You can read more about them here:

Whats new:

• Added ability to perform calculations according to FGS model and to calculate FGS Nash equilibrium ranges
• Added new window: Ev Flow, which shows how ICM EV changes after the hand
• Added support for Nash equilibrium ranges calculations in cases where some player is auto all-in because of posting blinds

CuAt69UsdSnG, hey.

That sounds odd. I didn't change anything during last weeks so it must be caused on your end.

Please contact me via email with more precise problem description (what works now, what doesn't, that is web/downloadable/browsers etc., and what did you change on your machine recently maybe too)so we can investigate it further, I'd be glad to help.

Q - on your website this link is broken:

More specifically it gives a run-time error: server error in '/' application.
