Right, I still haven't wrote a yearly review and honestly I don't really want to spend too much time on it. In 2013 I wrote my Master Thesis so that took up a lot of time (time as I can see now, that was taken from working on my game). I'm not too happy nor proud of my poker achievements in 2013, I played 50 hours less (that's not so bad considering my Thesis) but my profits were also cut by 25% and my hourly dropped about $5. So let's make 2014 a good year!

Stats:

Profits (incl RB etc): $15993
Hours: 1040
$/hr: $15.84

(no graph yet because I will have to combine them from both HM1 and HM2)

In order to motivate myself I will come up with a challenge, not time-related, but obviously the goal is to reach it asap. So from now on (actually from the 1st of January) I'm going to work towards earning $100k and I will post about my progress in every monthly update. I don't want to do it on a daily or weekly bases because that will probably make me too results oriented. Anyway, GL me!

Nice goal, mine is like 200k in next 4-5 years :)
Step it up this year so that we can travel together to Thailand soon!

So after 8 years of playing at FTP they all of a sudden decide to do a security check on me, wtf????

Maybe I should just refer them to Stars for my documents

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em Tournament, 100/200 Blinds (3 handed) - Full Tilt Converter Tool from http://flopturnriver.com/

Hero (BB) (t2,270)
Button (t140)
SB (t6,590)

Hero's M: 7.57

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q, Q
1 fold, SB raises to t6,590 (All-In), 1 fold

FML :(

I guess it was a good thing that it was my last table otherwise I probably would have called before checking anything.

Stars and FTP support and security services aren't as well connected as you think, I'm afraid you'll need to send docs to them separately.

It's not necessary to be result-oriented when posting daily; be process-oriented: evaluate the quality of play, post reviews (maybe commented YT footage of your grind), write random thoughts on self-improvement and inspirational quotes, etc.

GL!

Hey, nice to see you back man! 2014 is the year of people coming back to Pokerstrategy?

And thanks, just have to work hard and try to get to the high stakes indeed!

Yes that's a very good idea, I will think about ways to discuss the process in between. YT footage is not going to happen though, but I like self-improvement (as I think almost any poker player does) so I will try to write about that.

Well on that note, I'm also trying a work-out challenge for myself. Besides going to the gym 3 times a week I'm also biking as my morning routine now 5 times a week (already started).

The goal is to burn some fat and get a bit more lean (I don't really consider myself fat but just want to see what it looks like when I'm really lean). Therefore I've been watching my diet carefully and the goal is to burn 500-800 calories every time I ride on my hometrainer.

Later on I will switch to roadbiking again. The main difference this time though, is to bike at 70% of my capacity and not go full out. Otherwise it's not cardio anymore and that's what I need to do to reach my goal. I'm at 16% BF now, I have no clue how fast it will go but I'm aiming for 10-11% BF hopefully by the end of this month.
